Something we may see this week

Brilliant analysis. It tells people all they need to know, so right now, at this moment what the scrimmage told people is that the two veterans performed at a much higher level than the freshmens. Is that what you meant?

Richt didnt seemed impressed. He said the offense was inconsistent and most of rosier numbers came in situational work.

Yet, there Rosier sits, atop Richt's depth chart, the first day of practice after the scrimmage

1. Rosier
2. Evan
3. Perry

Thats practice drills that richt lets the media speculate on the meaning. What matters is who is getting the actual reps during real practice time.

No, that's not speculation, that is the depth chart for today: It's 1. Rosier 2. Evan and 3. Perry

Just like Finley is now second team safety, surpassing Amari Carter

I was talking about the qbs. The qb drill order has been the same since day 1 of spring ball but perry is now added.

My first reponse after seeing the scimmage stats was go with Rossier... but now after taking some time... I realize that you can't assess from 1 scrimmage... especially for a kid just setting foot on campus. Just him being in a stadium that could provide seats for everybody in his hometown... then facing a Defense that will more than likely be a top ten D... Dude probally passed a Diamond after practice.. Give him time is my own advice... I think Richt favors him as the future ... give him the snaps vs BCU and then use that game for evaluation ... If he is not the better man at the end of the day.. then put the better man on the field and develop Perry the normal route.

The same people claiming Kaaya was Unitas are the same people trying to justify Perry based on closed practices.

And the same people who relentlessly bashed Kaaya are rallying behind a guy who couldn't even compete with Kaaya, much less beat him out. Think about that.

Keep pounding that goofy new mantra about running around in shorts being more significant in judging a QB than live game-like situations.

The scrimmage was non-contact, and Rosier and Shirreffs have one game of starting experience between them. These aren't battle-tested guys.

So you guys think Rick is goofy enough to think veteran QBs can't improve even though both Rosier and Shirreffs are playing much better than they did in the spring? Is this the "reading comprehension" we need to bone up on?

"The young guys are going to be better a week from now. Wherever they are now, a week from now they are going to be a lot better than they are today. The guys that have been around for a while, next week, how much more are they going to learn, how much more are they going to going to get better? They may get better, incrementally, but the young guys ought to get a bigger improvement because they are getting more comfortable in the system, more reps in the system."

- Mark Richt, yesterday

The older guys can get better. Rosier has barely played, and Evan has never played. But Richt is not going to have much more information on those two by the end next week. I strongly suspect he knows who he prefers among those two. Which is why it makes sense to (quietly) make a decision and give reps to the guy who needs them.

I don't give a crap who wins, I have no horse in the race, but you are so in the tank for Perry you almost have no credibility on the subject, and that's the first time I've thought that about your posts since the CIS began.

MarkRicht "I would say today was the first day i saw a couple guys feeling sorry for themselves... Week 3... I didn't like that.''

Sounds like he's talking about Perry

Why are people making the assumption that rosier has been better than perry through all of the practices? Was he better than him at the scrimmage yes. But at the practices before that? No one other than a few on the board I'm sure knows. To this point rosier has been the most erratic/turnover qb in camp other than his solid scrimmage. That sh*t loses you games and based on what richt teaches irks the **** out of him
You're so clueless you don't even realize how you contradicted yourself in your own post. Just go find tweets to repost.

He said it was a few of the young guys.

Waiting for nkosi to take the job

It was actually in reference to more than that. He has decided to not cut down the competition till after the next scrimmage.

I'll admit... I'm totally taking this thread off. Why not when I can just watch fincane methodically dissect multiple peoples' arguments far better than I could.

That tweet

Flies in the face of everything the insiders have been saying.

Insiders have been telling us we shouldn't pay too much attention to the scrimmage results, because the other 10 practices is where Perry was out playing the older guys.

Just sayin'

Richt just said there is no timetable on a decision. Said all the guys are going to get reps with the 1s. Wants to be fair to the young qbs and their learning curve but believes all the qbs can play and run the system.

Like I've said from the very beginning, Perry is the future, but I want to win now, and the rest of the players deserve that.

It is almost impossible for a regular enrollee freshmans at the QB position, no matter how talented, to make the necessary adaptions in just a few weeks. It's basically never happened in the history of college football for a pass-first QB that's led to anything like a ten win season. It has NEVER happened. There's a reason for that.

It's a huge transition, for any college student, their first semester. Add to that a college football player with the added responsibilities that entails. Add to that a QB, who has to study and film watch and learn more than any other position. Add to that the physical transition of getting a high school body ready for college play. Add to that adjusting to the speed of the game. Add to that learning a much more complex read-offense than he's accustomed to. Add to that that he has to be a LEADER for the whole team, including upperclassmen. Add to that the pressure of being the man for a top P5 program, one which he must win AT LEAST ten regular season games, 9 as an absolute bottom.

If Perry pulls it off, it'll be historical. Legendary. Unprecedented. That's what you people are asking. Something that's never been done before. Is it possible? Yes. Probable? Not likely.

So is being a püssy.

I'd tell you to stop being an imbecile, but that sub 90 IQ is holding you back.

You're just not very smart and you're doomed to a life of disappointment and failure. I feel sorry for you to be honest.

I feel sorry for you. A dumb person that makes more money than a message board genius.

Only in your dreams.

I guarenteed i do and work way less days and hours too. If i was i genius like you i might could of pulled off getting paid to not work at all.
Please end this back and forth.

WHY--IS--THIS--TRUTH--SO--HARD--FOR--THOSE--THAT--ARE--IN--THE--TANK--FOR--PERRY--TO--UNDERSTAND!!!

Do you guys in the "Perry should start as a True Freshman" camp want to win big this year or not? Are you more concerned about 2018 or 2017?

I'm concerned about winning this year. And I'm concerned that the limited skillsets of our older QBs will prevent us from doing so.

Blake Sims appears to be the hot comparison. Sims was an elite recruit who broke Alabama's passing record as a senior. He was athletic enough to get NFL looks as a running back. It's a crap comparison.

Maybe I'm missing something when I watch our older guys. Wouldn't be the first time. But Richt named Vinny Testaverde as co-#2 last year after camp. That should be a pretty big clue as to what we're dealing with here.

If one of them wins the job, I'll get behind them. They have improved. But there's a reason I'm cheering so hard for Perry, and it has nothing to do with his sparkling personality or some message board prediction.

I'm just not seeing logic or reason here.

Just a lot of wishful thinking.

It seems like rozier and sherrifs we're getting the first team reps today's. Perry and Cade we're getting the rest
