He knows his time is up here. He knows his philosophies and style will never succeed here. He needs to secure himself another HC gig this year before his stock hits rock bottom next year in the eyes of those who still respect him as not only a leader, but as a coach. I know that's hard to believe for us, but there are still quite a few people who hold him in high regard.

Nothing more to say than just that. His buyout is not $8 million. It is indeed $3.5 million. The issue with our leaders right now is not the $$$, it's the perception of letting him go. In addition, there are those on the BOT who do not feel the right thing to do is bring in a new HC without having a new President in place. That's another factor weighing on any decision to fire Golden.

If there is a silver lining in what has transpired in the last 24-48 hours, its this. Now while I personally don't believe it simply because of our past, I was told that if a "BIG NAME" wanted the job (not Butch), let's say a coordinator from the NFL ranks or an established HC in college football, we would indeed make a move. Take that for what its worth.

I'm not sure the BOT or Mr. Miller himself realize how toxic this situation is. This fan base is utterly disgusted and we are dead serious about this. I don't think these people have any idea just how nasty things are going to get and are severely underestimating the financial backlash they will receive if they do not part ways with Golden. If Golden is retained get ready for a full on total boycott of UM football. We're are in no mood to play this time.

The whole notion of not wanting to bring in a new coach before a new president is BS. Does the BOT really want to bring a new prez in who is going to be inundated with "fire Golden" emails from his or her very first day on campus? The whole idea should be to hand over the helm of a steady ship, not one with the athletic department in turmoil with the new pres having to fire someone 6 months into the job.
