I sit back in the shadows and read this board, and I can't for the life of me understand the Dorsey hate...he's an elite NFL QB coach and by all accounts a brilliant football mind...if he can elevate TVD, who cares what offense he runs. Yes he's never called plays before, but he's an NFL passing game coordinator. If Dorsey is our guy, its not gonna satisfy the Air Raid guys, but we are going to have a great , fundamentally sound QB throwing to stud WR..
This board said dabo was a CoRch until deep into the Lawerence era.

are we really waiting for seasons to be over or did mario just wait to announce the hires day by day leading up to the end of the dead period?

I don’t know that a DC or OC hire will move the meter much in recruiting unless that person is a huge crooter which typically they aren’t

Spavital and Loeffler stink.

Whichever one of Brady or Dorsey doesn't get an NFL OC gig will be the pick.
Loeffler was uneven as an OC but Spavital was solid (save for '15).

Total Offense under Spavital in his time calling plays:

2014 (A&M) - 27th
2015 (A&M) - 77th
2016 (Cal) - 22nd
2017 (West Virginia) - 22nd
2018 (West Virginia ) - 10th

2015 (A&M) - 77th; both QB's had transferred out before the season.

He's a solid hire, not sure if it's double eggplant emoji worth. Seems like all of those were shot down by JayCane, so who knows now.

Would a current G5 HC leave his job to become an OC? I just assumed it was a G5 HC who just got fired and is looking for a job right now.

With the money being thrown around at the P5 level, I think you're going to see more of it, especially with younger guys that don't want to get caught up in coaching purgatory if/when they get fired at the G5 level.

I’m pretty sure there was a G5 coach that left to take a coordinator or position role recently too. Trying to find it but not having luck.

Yeah I got you, I was alluding to the Candles/Littrells/Chadwells/Lewis' of the world were rejected.
Yeah I don’t think Montgomery or Loefler were listed either. So that’s why I had those two + Spavita as the decent remaining candidates that weren’t listed.

@JayCane20 blink once if I’m off…don’t respond if I’m right on one of those guys. 😜

I may have rejected one I shouldn’t have
