Sitting at 4-0 and up 28-3 over FSU going into the 4th quarter 28 days ago.

Looked then like we may well be the best team in the country, but then all of sudden — except for a second-half surge against lowly Stanford — things begin to turn sour.

What happened?

Wondering the same thing. For the first month of the season, we legit looked like one of the best teams in the country. Over the last month we have looked like barely a top 25 team

Yeah, same guy was coaching that team when we looked like new money

So what changed?

Penalties absolutely went crazy…. Pre snap ones being the biggest one.

Throw in wanting to be stubborn with A gap runs that went no where

The defense has still yet to give up more than 24 points in a game. We sit with two losses because the offense cannot get out of its own ways.

Lack of discipline, lack of urgency, overall stupidity, untimely interceptions, etc. We often play not to lose instead of playing to win.

Pretty much the same crap we’ve seen the past 20+ years in some shape or fashion. Nothing has changed.
This is it right here. We perform when we are the underdog once we get a little success we become a turtle.

Mario and Dawson’s relationship is fractured and it’s clearly having an effect of the synergy of the offense.

Not sure how our believed best unit is now the worst unit on the team.

Teams adjusted to some extent.

And some of it was just the offense catching up to the analytics.

People on this board loved to clown SP+ and how low it had Miami.
SP+ was picking up on the fact that Miami’s offense, while good in down to down success rate, was far less explosive than the average team would be.
It’s fine getting 5 yards a play. But it’s not fine if that’s just all you’re getting.

That has caught up to us.

Miami had great down to down success today.
How many plays over 20 yards did it have?

You can’t score point that way.
And unfortunately that is every offense Mario has ever had absent Cam Ward.

Feels like we went from a smooth operation to a slop fest — and now after two ACC losses it's too late to clean up the mess

We picked up a QB with a BUM ARM… teams said Miami beat us with meth mouth Beck and his BUM ARM

we prove we CANT
