So JT4 wants back in?

Exactly. A study showed that within five years of being released, more than 75% of released prisoners were rearrested.
I like this dialogue you guys are having, we need more of it in this country. I'll add this to the conversation, our prison system is flawed. In America, we focus on the punishment aspect of prison, whereas other countries with lower recidivism rates focus on the rehabilitation process. At a minimum there should be a balance between punishment and rehabilitation, but that doesn't happen here which leads to high re-incarceration rates. The government needs to allocate more funding to this forgotten population.

How does a thread about JT4 potentially wanting back in get to a prison discussion?

I have to agree, the prisons are over populated and they have 0 incentive programs or trades anymore. U want to drastically reduce recidivism? Invest in drug and alcohol rehabilitation and fund classes and hands on training for trades. Obviously JT4 isn't in that position but the mentality/approach is the same.
It's not only about drug and alcohol rehabilitation, they are important though. We also need to have post-prison employment programs set up for these people. We need to figure out a way to relocate them from the neighborhoods they were in prior to being incarcerated.

Wouldn't surprise me. He made an emotional decision quitting on the team.
This wasn't the first time he did it last season also! The public just didn't know about it but I did! That's why I'm saying you can't take him back! He thinks he's bigger than the team and you can't have that on a young team! Your seeing the examples of it with Pope and ppl still don't wanna acknowledge it.

I’d take JT4 back and kick Pope out to set example

But I’ve been accused shortsightedness in the past

Lol... Nah Pope ain't crossed that line yet! Be he does need to be sat down at the end of the season and questioned on if he really wanna be on this team or not! I'm positive this offense won't be the same next year!

Let's say this is true...

You don't let him come back to the team or you could possibly leave it to a team vote. As a coach you can't let a quitter come back because it sets a precedence that you can give up on your teammates with little to no repercussions. The HC and WRC would lose all integrity with the team and nobody could be held accountable for anything moving forward. This is almost a non-starter because Richt moved on when he dismissed Jeff from the team.

Sit him for the bowl game. That’s a huge deal to these kids.

Then see how he acts during spring and fall practice.

Correlation does not imply causation. All of those guys were extremely talented and would have been as successful without the discipline. Grier probably would have been even better off with a year under Mullen instead of the trash WVU QB coach.

Lol. Like Travonte Valentine sucessful? Sam Bruce successful? Johnny Manziel sucessful?
