Back in the day there was a popular detergent called Wisk. Then it was bought out by a European company and it was replaced by the new owner's existing European detergent, called Persil.

That's why you never see Wisk on the store shelves anymore.

Suppose somebody did the same with Tide....

You can’t take a team loaded with 4 and 5 stars and go out there and nearly lose to a horrific cmu team full of sloppy trash. You just don’t have that luxury here given what’s transpired for so long with deficient coaching.

I said before the season that Shanny didn’t have the luxury of a ****** season. He had to come in and win 10 and the Coastal at the very least. Build momentum. HE didn’t have to go undefeated or beat Ufayg, but he had to improve the team dramatically from the garbage we saw last year.

What does he do? He hires all his buddies and a completely green defensive staff. Then he lets Enos hire all his loser MAC buddies. We hired a staff full of losers and washouts.

What did Shanny expect to happen when he’s taking a WR coach from Air Force whose been fired everywhere and his next step was out of football entirely? That was a theme not the exception with his hires.

Nothing worse than the give it time crowd. If a team twice as good as duke and etc can’t eek out a win then it’s poorly coarched. Nobody is asking Shanny to be Clemson in a year

Yet fans want to run off every new head coach after a few losses.

Five coaches over the past 14 seasons.

97-69 record from Coker's final season to Richt's final game.

7-9 record from Pittsburgh loss in 2017 through Wisconsin in 2018 bowl game.

Yet Manny HAD to get at least 10 wins this year (something Miami's done once since 2003) and win the Coastal (something Miami's done once in 15 tries)—losing the heart of his secondary, rolling out a weak-*** o-line, a brand new quarterback and and entirely new offensive staff—and he's getting Randy Shannon comparisons four games in. Got it. Totally reasonable post.

**** and I thought this was a post about my prediction that the FBI was turning up the heat invesitgating Bama, and Saban retires this year or next at the latest.

I’d agree if we were talking about a program that doesn’t recruit well. We might not recruit at Alabama’s level, but he equates that number to the team and players development. I didn’t say it should be how we recruit. I’m only saying this game should give us insight into where we are, more so than the previous four games. If we look the same, we probably won’t be a better team eight weeks from now. Hopefully we look a lot different and we see it this week. It’s not my number, it’s Saben’s. I say he knows more about team and player development than anyone posting on this board. It’s not about starting, it’s about the game and practice time necessary for it all to come together. So you think that gutter is exclusively owned by Saben 🤔 to be more clear, you think your beloved Miami Hurricanes are as clean as the driven snow. I don’t like what he does, only because we don’t do it as well. Respectfully, we are bad at cheating and he is an all time great. There’s 132 D-1 gutters. Pick the one you like and cheer 🤫🥳

You might not like it, but I’m right. Just look around. He had to win, or he’d lose the fans quickly. Mullet did it at UF against much tougher competition with a horrific QB. Shanny could have done it here.

Guys like you have low standards and like to hand out trophies to everyone. You act like expecting a coach who has superior players to everyone in the Coastal to win the Coastal is some phenomenal task because you were born a loser.

I was being smart. If I remember correct no where in the book did it mention question posted by the OP. The few chapters on recruiting were mainly about analytics and evaluating.
