Sleeper team

It's possible that scenario plays out. The thing is this is a complete overhaul from the mess left by the former mayor's son. New O, new D, along with new player/starters. I would be blown away with victories over A&M and Clemson but that is a tall order with everything brand new(and better from top to bottom). We'll see.
Like I said, I'm not expecting it. But it's not outlandish. All the pieces are there..it's just a matter of chemistry and execution.

Clemson hasn’t lost a home game in six years. 34th straight wins.
That streaks gotta end some time...

They have a questionable QB situation and a bunch of new coaches.

Like I said I don't expect it to happen (and they'll definitely be favored over us) but stranger things have happened in college football.

It's not like the talent gap is insurmountable. We lose to teams with a larger talent deficit than we have to Clemson every year.

We could beat A&M and Clemson... That'll be the only 2 games we're not favored for and you just never know the impact coaching can have on a roster.

We have a top 3 QB..oline play will be significantly improved and we're deep and talented at TE and RB.

On defense, the transfers and coaching will make a significant improvement over last year.

I think we'll have a better chance against A&M than Clemson but we could beat Clemson if they don't get their QB situation figured out.

I don't expect us to go undefeated either but it's not outlandish.
I want to drink the kool aid , so badly..... agree on all you say and i am a glass 1/2 full kinda fan

The only way this happens is if the first and 2nd year guys we have make huge moves. The WRs, Chase Smith, Taylor, Williams…..Unlikely. Be wonderful though and I do look forward to seeing how these youngsters do.

I'm sure he meant for the regular season. As someone else has said, A&M is the game to watch. We find a way to escape Kyle Field with a W.....our kids confidence will be through the roof, reminiscent of the post 2017 Notre Dame beat down.

Based on what? Not every freshman in that signing class will play and they routinely go 8-4 with Jimbo. I don’t see how it’s close to the bama or lsu game of 19 and 21
Talent advantage that's what I'm going by nothing else. Well see though they been stacking for a bit. That's all I'm going by not trying to offend anyone it's just my opinion.

We have a great chance if the best team always win why play the game.

very few cfb teams are truly good

I'd be surprised if more than a couple of them got any real playing time vs a major opponent in the third game of the season. It's basically the same team that went 8-4 last year minus several big contributors, possibly including one that's still on the team in their top WR, & a new starting QB.

Nice knowing we go into these games not at a complete disadvantage coaching wise anymore
And we have coaches on both sides of the ball known to have different game plans for different teams based on their weaknesses.

We also have a special teams analyst from the NFL that should help us improve in that phase as well.

We could be the most prepared team in the Conference each game day.

(And with all of that there SHOULD be high expectations.)
