Disappointed Rumph is staying, was hoping for a better recruiting option. The worst part is we don’t have anybody on staff right now to pair up with him to cover the recruiting side of things.

Manny can't recruit nobody recruit and neither can Banda but everyone ignores both. Even before Manny became HC.
 
Not every staff is filled with stud recruiters, the fundamental problem with Richt’s recruiting philosophy was in having each position coach be the lead recruiter on their position. Look at the best recruiters like Seider or Cristobal (when he was a position coach) they didn’t only recruit RB’s or OL/TE’s, they recruit QB, RB, WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, and DB. Your best recruiters should be the lead recruiter on numerous players all year. Having Dugans and Hartley clean up their positions by August every year and spend the next 5 months recruiting the following years kids was useless.

Rumph should be developing his position and recruit the kids who are furthur down on our radar.

you do know that results and coaching is more important that recruiting right? and it's not even close

i can tell you do not know that because anyone who is a rumph hater is clearly just internet recruiting fan boys.

we were #1 in the nation in pass defense. WE lost out on elite DB's who went to two teams that were in the CFP last year

Rumph is FINE. when we win, they'll come

tyson and surtain went to UGA and BAMA, we weren't matching that momentum last year. If we can get sustained success going, we'll win. They proved us right by choosing those other schools over us because we went 7-6

we need to win and then you same trolls will be saying rumph is an awesome recruiter
 
Rumph is odd because he is a flat out great coach but he is so so recruiter. I am wanted to keep him though as others can recruit it is nice having a great position coach as we haven't had too many lately.

If you don’t think the front 7 has done more for the passing defense than Rumph I don’t know what to tell you. The man has whiffed on recruiting since day one. You can’t sit there and say our DB room is as talented as other schools around the nation.

Both rumph and banda has missed on a lot of guys but db recruiting in sfla is the toughest position to recruit.

You have all the big programs coming down and trying to get those guys. Diaz is going to have to figure out a way to start getting those guys.
