I think this is inevitable once a smart team figures out his value. That's his pathway to becoming a DC like Jimmy Lake former NFL DB coach who's now a top DC for Washington.

If I'm wrong then that's a win for the Canes. A well-developed 4* CB is better than an unpolished or overrated 5* CB who doesn't develop. It was enjoyable seeing Campbell get mossed by Collin Johnson last night. Kid has all-pro potential but I doubt it happens for him now.

Up until now, he hasn’t been a coach long enough to prove he can get guys to the next level. The longer he is here, the better he will get recruiting, in my opinion. He’ll have something to sell.

I think if Miami gets the program rolling guys like curtain will stick around regardless if rump is here or not. I think that'd what gave bama the edge. They have their show rolling and Miami doesn't. Miami needs to prove they can win game awhile making kids better and getting them ready for the league.
 
Lol @guys wanting to fire one of the bright spots this season! The top pass D in the country! If we had not **** the bed this year we would have TS, Nunn, Couch, Brownlee, Smith and maybe a legit shot at Dent. The reason we lost most of these guys isn’t because of him.

That said, he’s just not a great recruiter and it’s Diaz’s job to put him in a position where he doesn’t have to like Saban does with Kool as long as his coaching/development stays unscathed.

Hartley was a really good recruiter (probably our best) and was an average coach and got fired. That tells me all I need to know.
 
If you're a DB Coach, you gotta be a good recruiter.

Its like having a ****** recruiter as a RB Coach or WR Coach. If you don't recruit, idk what exactly your value is at that slots.

Where are we getting this theory from? Lol. James Coley was Tyson Campbell’s main recruiter or at least he was the main one hounding the **** out of him during his recruitment with that stupid “join the league of shadows!” BS.

Developing and sending guys to the league is your main and most important goal for any coach if you want to get the top kids. Let the guys on your staff like the Hartleys, TRobs, and Toshs and those kind worry about the recruiting. Let Rumph be the coach on the visit who helps mama do the dishes. lol
 
A CORNER BACK coach is very similar to a rb coach. Those are recruiting positions...considering either you have it or you dont coming in. Your only gonna get marinially better. If your not BRINGING them in ..what is the use. Hence those spots are usually where they place "recruiters".

You don’t like Rumph personally for some reason. Lol. You never gave him a chance from day 1.

That said, I stand by a statement I said originally, Rumph is a bad recruiter but a very good coach and kept his job. Hartley was our best recruiter and an average coach and got fired.

lol i was right from day 1 though. I knew why he was hired and knew he wouldnt deliver.lol.

Its a schtick...i wish him well. I think he'll be ok and said it countless times if he gets a few kids drfafted maybe even a 1st rounder he'll be able to reap some rewards. Quite frankly win and your in. We start winning Rumph could continue to throw up on himself in front of recruits and we will land some.

Hartley got got because Manny just wanted to clean slate on offense. Hartley appears to be a much better coach at this point in their careers...he'll land on his feet. Rumph has some room to grow...if he was fired he likely would be coaching pop warner with me this year lol

The amount of coaching you need at CB or RB or even WR doesn't justify the paycheck. Especially when you're JUST a cornerback coach? Your value is low, especially if you can't recruit.
