Why are you guys acting like any of this is some new information? This was the rumor from the very beginning. None of that changes the fact that Richt was EASILY the best hire we could have made.
Everyone knows Richt didn't like the administration. They wanted him to take a backseat role. They hired Pruitt, who put alot of "his guys" in place. So yeah the meme of Richt lost control is pretty true in a way. However acting like Richt handled this poorly is retarded. All you have to look at is how Pruitt is viewed after this incident to know Richt is the one who handled it well. Bunch of former players dislike Pruitt, because HE was the one being the *****.

Theres a reason Thomas Brown, his former player and RB coach told Pruitt that if he ever talked like that to Richt he'd **** him up. if the CFP was around during Richts entire tenure at UGA he would have gotten UGA in as a 3 or 4 seed 3 times. 2002, 2007, and 2012.
so you're saying he was trash from 2007 to 2015, and what I'm seeing is that he would have made 2 CFP's in that period.

no it proves a point that while he never won the championship, he consistently had the best teams in cfb, and that they weren't JUST in the first few years, they were spread out throughout his time as HC of UGA.

2007 and 2012 were both after he stopped calling plays (2006), which is what people generally refer to as the 2nd half of his tenure at UGA. If the CFP system was in place, he would have made it both those seasons. Did Clemson underachieve last season? Did tOSU underachieve in 2016?
Being one of the 4 best teams in the nation is really ******* good.

First of all, you wrote that wrong.
Second of all, what I said is a fact. What you call not getting it done is simply not winning the National Championship game. That doesn't mean he didn't have TOP teams. He had a top 4 team on at least 3 separate occasions to finish the season, the only difference is there wasn't a CFP around for him to earn the chance to play in the Championship game and potentially win one..... According to you Alabama and UGA didn't get it done last year either because if this were the BCS system still (like Richt had to deal with at UGA) Both would NOT have been in the National Championship this year (it would be Clemson vs Oklahoma). Yet they BOTH were because it was a Playoff and Bama ended up winning it all.
