Mario was ****ed off with the 4th quarter of the FSU game. No way I believe the bye week was a country club. If anything his constant harping about every mistake may have cause some players to tune out.

Just happens. Does Mario not call out Samson and Brock during film? Does he not make them run/squat/bear crawl as punishment? Does he not limit snaps because of them? If you have teenaged kids, you know what I'm talking about. Ask your 15 year old daughter to clean her room. Punish her when it's still dirty. Punish her again...and again...and again....that room is staying dirty until SHE decides she wants to clean it. That's my point.

Well - fair point on my broadness.

Samson is already in a rotation with McCoy, so it’s easy for him to sit. You may be right that there is punishment.

My comment is based on how Jacolby Jorge was allowed to play after committing personal foul penalties over and over and over again.

I did paint a broad stroke based on that one example because that is the example that was out there for everyone to see.

But you could be right in terms of how he handles things behind the scenes.

You’re also not going to be as intense as you were in the summer in the middle of the season. It’s 17-games if you play that long. It can be physical and intense without turning it into a meat grinder.

Whats your take on the running game in general so far in the season. Personnel and play calling.

Until he starts benching some of the OL for stupid penalties.. especially against easier opponents, this ain't gonna change.

I don’t like the “pound in their ****” in the A-gaps approach we have this year. Easy to defend with just creating traffic and a pileup.

During the UF game, I posted that they got their *** kicked but wrote the chapter on defending our run game this year.

FSU wrote the Master Class on defending the run and UL pulled the Gators pass defense and FSU run game defense together.

We have the personnel to adjust (all three RB’s are good at reading blocks and working an edge), and the OL is good enough to run pinch-and-pull with a TE. They did it successfully vs both UF and FSU.

Now if he woulda made this claim before the loss happened, then id believe it. But not after the fact.

Agreed, I am sure we practiced those HB dive plays full throttle. It might be retarded but it wasn't lacking intensity.

Also, we had two INTs on deep balls in the first half. I don't buy the go conservative crap. We just didn't coach or play a good game.
