Again I’m done here. It’s week three, I’ll just continue to revisit this as the year goes along.
We looked like a bunch of high functioning retards for 2 and a half quarters on national TV. But I still think dropping 15 spots was a bit harsh. I think dropping 6 or 8 spots would have been more appropriate, especially considering LSU has gone on to show that beating us wasn't a one-off fluke.
That’s desperate! You’re reaching back to last year to comment about things going on this year? That’s just stupid and you’ve lost all credibility to rock Prop Joe as your avatar after that “comment” (assuming that’s you, and that your account hasn’t been hacked).
Gogeta, you’re better than that; or at least I thought you were. But continuing to **** ride a weak conference in light of all the evidence showing just how weak the ACC is this year is ... well, let me put it another way: “you want it to be one way, but it’s the other way”.
That's what ****es me off the most. There was no film on Edsminger and Burrow, so if their offense had come out and waxed us, that'd be excusable. But there's plenty of film on Dave Aranda, yet we come out like we had no idea that they run blitz on 1st and 2nd, and play tight zone on 3rd and long.On national TV and no other games were on....... LSU has a great D ....not much more but that was enough
I don't know why this is a hard concept.
When your #1 team(ranked #6) in your conference plays the #3 team(ranked #9) in the SEC.....Beat them...don't lose like UW did.
When your #2 team (ranked #8) in your conference plays the #5 team(ranked #25) in the SEC......Don't fall behind 33-3.
When your #1 team(ranked #2) in your conference plays the #7 team in the SEC(unranked)......Don't need a failed 2-point conversion to win.
You think the #2 SEC team is going down by 30 to the #5 team in any other conference?
You think the #1 SEC team is going to need a missed 2 point conversion to survive the 7th best team in any other conference?
Don't want the SEC to continue to get sucked off.....beat them in those nationally televised non-conference games.
Then comes bowl season and they get handed. Stop d*ckriding 3 weeks in
Well using your unflawed logic Mismi is right on based on their preseason ranking. They were Top ten, took a big big drop for their bad loss, yet ATM was not ranked preseason have a loss albeit a “quality loss” and has only beaten two garbage teams. And now they are Ranked after beating ULM! Yet Cal or a BYU are way behind them even though they are undefeated or a one loss team WITH a quality WIN @ that teams place. I obviously won’t be able to get you to see it. But think of it like this aTm is probably what the 6th or 7th best team. They will more than likely lose to Bama LSU and Auburn, but they will win like a MSU game and be a four loss ranked in the top twenty at years end just like LSU was last year. So yeah 1-4 against teams with a pulse on your record is over ranking if your ranked st that point. Or like 4 loss Auburn at like 12? Yeah that’s over rated IMO
Then comes bowl season and they get handed. Stop d*ckriding 3 weeks in
BC is undefeated. And you basically made my argument, IMO. A&M moves up by losing. That happens to almost NO ONE! Unless you play inthe SEC.
Speaking of which no way is ND deserve to be #7 at this point - barely beat Ball State and Vandy. Overrated
If there ever was a team who should’ve dropped even in a win, it’s ND. They haven’t looked impressive at all and given where they were last year finishing up the season with 3 losses, they should be viewed under the same microscope at Miami is; a wait and see attitude on if they are truly back to their old ways of winning big games like the past. Them being ranked #7 if a clear bias towards them, and against the Canes.
Wisconsin losing to an unranked BYU at home (BYU is now #25) has more value than Miami losing to the team that is now ranked #6?
I dont d*ckride or think about conference...i only care about this U. I leave that for yall to do. Im not sure why SEC teams are brought on this board much
Maybe....But don't be b_tch whining when some 12-1 team from the PAC 12 or ACC champ gets left out of the playoff in favor of 2 SEC teams, possibly a 2 loss SEC team this year.
Those were season long perception setting games because there just aren't that many non-conference match-ups and virtually no opportunity to change it.....Clemson can beat up on South Carolina during rivarly week, FSU beat up UF, but that won't change the perception. Unless GT upsets UGA, there is no opportunity to create a counter argument before the playoffs.
You can accuse me of d*ckriding all you want, but outside of our local bubble, that is reality of what the rest of the 99% of the country perceives.
funny enough I feel like you do the same thing. That same week those teams fell out, other SEC teams filled their spots. Please explain how UF has done anything to deserve to be ranked. I’m not saying there’s such thing as a good loss. I’m saying when x acc team loses they tend to fall much further than an sec team. And I’m saying sec teams get unfair bumps that always seem to fall just right so other teams in your conference get ranked wins. Please show me teams that have lost and not fallen or rather gained spots. Show me how UM drops x number of spots for losing to LSU while Auburn loses albeit a close game, but it was a home game! I think home losses are a huge deal, and usually the voters do too until however an sec team loses at home. You are so all over the place with your arguments....it is a joke.
All Losses are the same...and 18 point loss to a team is the same as losing in OT to that team.
Winning National Semifinal games don't matter and you shouldn't be rewarded
Who you play matters until a team I like is below a team I don't, than being undefeated against cupcakes is more important.
Your logic and arguments are constantly sliding from side to side whenever it is convenient to your narrative.
PS. That same week you are whining about aTm moving up 2 spots for losing(from 29 to 27).....
#24 South Carolina fell to #40 after their loss to UGA
#25 UF completely fell out of others receiving votes after losing to Kentucky
#32 Ole Miss fell from #32 to #36 after beating Southern Illinois 76-41
Yet FSU was still receiving votes after needing to comeback in last few minutes at home to Samford that week...
Explain how the SEC bias is in effect there? You won't you will just ignore and move the goal posts.
You are like that person that says the NBA lottery is always rigged. Yet ignore when you have a generational talent like Tim Duncan coming out and darling Boston has the most ping pong balls, somehow small market San Antonio ends up with him. You cherry pick a few examples and ignore the mountain of other data that contradicts your argument.
