Scrimmage today? If so, time?

Mario has completely locked down access. It's a little annoying IMO. But my guess is they are installing more of the playbook beyond vanilla stuff, probably even layering in some stuff they want to run against UF (though that may be this coming week). Mario doesn't want the competition to see what's coming.
If that's the case, it seems odd that you are annoyed. I'd be annoyed if he allowed access.

That's classified information.

You need TS level security clearance.

I honestly just want to know who lined up where on the OL, everything else is pretty straightforward for the projected 1’s. We know QB/RB/WR/TE.

Defensively, all ends will rotate so the difference between #2-4 isn’t absurdly disproportionate. LB there’s a pretty clear top 3 (Alderman best in pass pro, Kiko and Wes better attacking downhill blitzing / vs run game, although Wes better tighten up or he could cede his spot eventually to the promising underclassmen). Corner and safety similar.

Depth is depth and we can cross that bridge during the season, when pads meet pads.
The only thing you need and will hear is that Emory, OJ, Day and Cole are doing great!!

The mystery behind the OL doesn’t bother me simply because of who our coaches are. Best 5 will play I have no doubts (not saying you’re off base at all just adding to it)

I gotta admit, my kool aid consumption goes up every time I look at our DE depth chart. Guidry had some moments where he got beat up last year but man…look at what we had up front. We had ZERO pressure. He had to blitz Kiko and Couch was probably our 3rd most dangerous pass rusher

Bain had to do everything

Baron, Alston, Mesidor healthy….the young bucks Bryant, Cole, Lightfoot etc etc

Not saying it’s the Pittsburgh Steelers pass rush but compared to last year it’s just an absolutely different team

Totally agree on DL and DE rotation. Not worried in the least bit there.

My curiosity concerning OL is the ceiling. Long been an advocate for Francis at guard as his most successful position because his raw power is absurd. I bet he’d move guys on the inside, generating massive holes on the interior to run, which then completely opens up the passing game even moreso. This offense would be absurd if we could consistently rely on successful inside runs getting to the second level.

And not that he did poorly at tackle last year because he was great getting out in space…but he did struggle with the speed rush at times. As a TF, absolutely expected, he still played well being thrown into the fire in a P4 conference…I just think his max potential is at guard.

So, if Samson looks very good at tackle…to me that’s the OL rotation with the highest ceiling. Rivers/Mauigoa/Carpenter/Cooper/Samson. That’s a powerful, explosive, athletic and massive OL.

But, you don’t mess with the tackle position unless you’re 1000% sure in Samson. Tackles are so important in CFB.

Rivers/McCoy/Carpenter/Cooper/Mauigoa is still a top 20 OL in college, a very good OL. Essentially to me, the floor is very high…but the ceiling could be top 5 OL nationally if everything clicks.

Agreed depth chart is pretty clear imo, nothing really matters for us until we see it in the real games. I do wanna hear who is buzzing in practice tho cause ain’t **** else to follow right now lol
