Schools Still Pushing for Carter

I know the phrase "he looks the part" gets tossed around a lot but man, this kid looks the part.

Pete, I always hear people saying Carter is an athlete playing safety and doesn't know the game well.

is this the case?

also, can he play other positions, say RB?

He can return kicks IIRC, and why would he play RB? SS all the way.

I had a coach tell me he would be an incredible RB actually. He will play defense here though.

Maybe, but he is needed at DB and will get on the field quicker there IMO.

Good **** Pete. This type of work ethic separates you from the other recruiting guys in this state. Bakas goes to an all star game (rare) and it would take him 2 weeks to get any interviews up.

Oh and great news about Carter.

I was about to pull a NJ2FL and predict he lifts his way down to linebacker. He's ******* yoked at 17/18. Or we could end up with a pretty athletic 220 pound safety that comes up and knocks the **** out of people. Either way I'm glad he will be doing his destruction with a U on his helmet.

Before the season, the Herald put out a story with some weight room numbers that simply cannot be true.

> Green said Carter recently power cleaned 270 pounds and squated 515 pounds.

"I think he's a natural safety. But he has the ability to play corner, safety, move into the box and play nickel linebacker too," Green said. "The sky is the limit for him. He can play offense, too. There's a lot of things his skill level allows him to do."

Last season, Carter returned seven punts for touchdowns. He said special teams is a big part of his game.

That article says he's 215 already... hmm.

I see his size. I see his highlight tape. But I'm not gonna make the comparison.

I don't know what this means.

If you were going to compare to Sean, the last guy we compared to him was a complete failure to his memory.

Name the guy, brotha.

Either way, I'm not Cokerized or Shan Shocked anymore. Duke and Deon came in and balled. Flowers played well. Tracy played well. Scott and Waters were making plays. Perryman and EJ have become beasts. They even got Clive Walford becoming a problem out there.

Our staff won't waste talent anymore. **** that ****. The Dark Ages of Miami football have ended. You can come out of your basements and storm shelters now. Squint your eyes in the day light which you haven't seen since, well, God, you've lost count. Just reach your hand up to the valiant figure on horseback and let him pick you up and lead you to a fruitful land of promise, full of wins, 1st round picks, and domination. For he is Al Golden, rightful heir to the Throne, and he will restore order to the U.
