Mario was a GA under Butch at UM....The Butch who put more HOFers into Canton...More 1st rounders and All Pros into the NFL than Saban...

yea if bama doesnt hire Saban they would be garbage right now, when he leaves its over trust and believe that. It will take awhile for his roster to dwindle but the next HC will feel it in year 3 or 4, same **** that happened to us with Coker.
 
Actually to add something substantional to this. Diaz has faced Bama as a DC. In 2010 with Miss St. Im on record saying this Bama offense atleast to begin is gonna be like those Saban first teams. That team had Julio Jones. The game finished 30-10 Bama. Diaz D gave up 452 yards, 4.9 per rush and 227 yard passing. Which in my opinion is pretty good. It was also in Tuscaloosa. And it was Diaz first and only season there. Diaz will when he has experience on D will give QBs alot of looks. Im really excited to see this against Bryce Young. So we have 2 coordinators who have faced Bama.
 
He doesn't outscheme anyone. What he does is run the program like a dictator, it begins and ends with him. He never relaxes, he never rests on his laurels, he's always looking ahead to the next game. He never takes anything for granted, he never accepts anything but the best. He gets the best players, and in CFB that's the main thing. He demands the best from them, always. He's in the perfect situation at the right time in CFB. Example, the head of the NCAA will never investigate Bama, they have no rules enforced on them.

Manny had to coach a full season as dc and never get a holding call and we still were at top in sacks and tfls. I’m not a huge fan of him but at um you have to coach agonist refs and recruit against ncaa. That’s why what butch did was so impressive

It will be interesting to see if he gets the Bobby Bowden treatment and starts being pressured to hire a replacement. But he still seems sharp up there
