Saban calls out Miami while complaining about NIL

The NCAA has the legal ability to do NOTHING anymore ever to anyone. Their a governing body put in place by the university’s to protect their own interests.
x 1000 Cane brotha.

Coaches, administrators, fans always talking about what the other person is doing and "somebody need to enforce these rules"

Then, when they get with their hands in the cookie jar, it's time to lawyer up and deny, deny, deny.

Say this about Saban: Probably the single most self-serving mf'er ever to walk the sideline.

Literally gives no fuxx about anything other than winning games and championships

This. It’s not like Alabama is getting left in the dust. They had the #2 recruiting class. It’s that they’ll no longer be light years ahead of the schools that weren’t allowed to cheat. The playing field got slightly leveled (for the benefit of only a few programs) and Saban is losing his chit.
Exactly. Me saying a "bunch" of schools was even overstating the threat to Sabag. It's really more like a handful that are encroaching upon his safe space and now he's triggered.

I think you all are missing Saban’s bigger point.

Imo, it’s not so much complaining and whining, but a call to arms to Alabama faithful to up the ante. He’s searching for his own John Ruiz’s.
You might be right if only Saban wasn't continually doubling down on his "we've never bought a player" bullsh!t

That's not about getting Bama fans to reach for their checkbooks; it's about protecting and advancing his legacy as the greatest CFB coach ever.

Dude is an egomaniac

IMO it's an IRS issue admitting to accepting undisclosed revenue, that is preventing many from going public.
Great point. I’ve always wondered about this code of omertà that the athletes have. Is it loyalty or fear? It must be fear —fear of the IRS, blowback from the fans of the school they attended and generally just not wanting to look bad.

That power is given to them by the university’s. They know they’re dying and soon the power five will form it’s own group and govern itself. They’re holding on to insure a paycheck. They won’t do anything to upset anyone. It’s over literally. We’re watching the last days unfold as we’ve known them. Legally everything they have is in peril. There’s a reason Emert retired.
Ok, that may be true for the NCAA itself but you are still describing a governing entity that oversees college football even it is for a subgroup of the P5. There is still power there to decide who is eligible to play under that banner.

Not to mention that if Ruiz is ever actually worth $20B that it'd probably be moar than ALL of Baga's biggest boosters (of the entire school not just athletics) COMBINED.

Again, I'm not saying they won't be fine in keeping up but people have always overestimated the legit BIG money individuals at certain schools- especially in the SEC.

They are powerless against this because its the law. Thats the point. Maybe they can reinstate the transfer rule but all that would do is funnel more money to high school kids.
That isn't my point. The law says that they have no control over whether the players can get paid. But they still have power over who plays.

To my point, if a Tebow-like player decided they wanted to play a seventh year and rack up more NIL than a practice squad pro salary, would the NCAA be powerless to stop them?

Just remember, the two coaches who are the most against NIL is Saban & Dabo, so what does that tell you?

I hope satan stays as loud about this as he possibly can. I can't wait for an ex bama player to open the **** of players talking about how much money baga paid them to play. Drag kirby, jimbo, dabo, and lsu right on into it. The $ec clearly sees their advantage going away. Will they stay yelling $ec $ec $ec or nah? The old way only worked for a few teams, I'm here for the chaos that starts the new way. Let's see who starts crying when it's Miami and USCw in the playoffs every year instead of two $ec teams.

This right here is why I hope (and expect) FSU and Clemson move to the $EC where they belong with their similar mindsets, fan bases and ways of handling bid-ness.

Let all those ****bags feast on one another while we do our own thing.

Canes against the world

What Saban is really ****ed off about is that He won't be able to cherry pick the top kids in California, Florida, Texas, etc.. Now that schools like USC & Miami have competent coaching plus filthy rich benefactors those schools won't be hemorrhaging the top recruits in their respective States/regions anymore.

Folks, this is an awesome opportunity for John Ruiz to use and promote not only Miami, Life Wallet, Cigarette Racing and all high school recruits on what LifeWallet can do for them in college using NIL. I expect John to attack this. I mean, a college kid in a speedboat with a bunch of hot chics with the Miami skyline in the background? what better way than to piggy back off the GOAT of college football coaches?

*thank Nick in a tweet for mentioning our player from one of if not the best football coaches ever
*include links to Lifewallet ads, billboards using Miami players
*welcome nick to LifeWallet headquarters for a personal tour
*invite him to have a Q & A with him and Bruce Feldman as the MC or Rock at LifeWallet and explain how LIfeWallet benefits players and the difference in a collective

Ruiz could really cash in on Sabans mentions. HUGE Marketing opportunity here. I expect Ruiz to start tweeting about it soon.

..imagine if the Rock gets involved with his Tequila and NIL

Him and Dabo. Control freaks, narcissist. Complaining about something they have been doing.
$EC mindset.

The boss-man is focused on his bottom line; everybody else need to take what he provides to them and STFU.

It's an AFLAC throwdown!!!!!!!!

This is almost like King Kong and Godzilla teaming up to battle Mechagodzilla.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

PS...What does Prime mean by "you people"....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Haha. You know exactly what the "our people" means.

Sabag and even the Dabo types are playing a potentially dangerous game here if they keep running their mouths and the return fire starts to bring race into the equation.

That front stops being ignored realllll quick when you're not the highest bidder any longer and when high profile guys like Deion are making it an issue.

It's all fun and games for Saban, who has dominated the College landscape with illegal payments for 2 decades, until a billionaire lawyer rocks up to the scene.

I hope Ruiz has some free time now his merger has gone through:
