Rush Propst Fired...Again.

TIFWIW, but word on the street up here in Jawja, was that some of those pills he was dishing out was some strong prescription pain meds. Which would explain why one of the kids in the report was acting lethargic in a game after he had a halftime visit with Propst. There are also rumors that some of those “probably aleve” pills, were actually PED’s. Some people around Moultrie, are saying that he was giving them to players as “vitamins” or nutritional supplements. It had to be something more serious than aleve for all of the school board members to vote against him, while support for him from the community still remain strong. It just don’t add up. It’s something that they’re not telling. They must have something on him that they are not telling. Maybe he was dipping his pen in company ink, so to speak. IDK. But Yes, he is a good football coach, and a piece of **** for a human being.

The CC BOE had to turn over all the documents they had due to an open records request. It is possible that the reasons are much worse then we know but a BOE not releasing those details is pretty bad as well. The "lethargic" incident happened 6 years ago so that incident should be a closed case. Pretty much everyone in the state hates Propst. Heck everyone hates Region 1 7A. The PED rumors I heard is that in involves multiple schools across south Georgia, but those rumors seem like nothing more than jealousy.

We'll just have to disagree on Coach Propst. His act would never have flown with Saban or many other college staffs (Pruitt might be an exception, which says a lot), don't care if he has one, two or three families. Or if he's a monk who prays at the top of every hour. At the high school level he can play God in small communities, but eventually he gets out of control and those who deal with him or in theory serve as supervisors tire of him. Well may be more **** than what appears in a school or district file.

MNW won by 8 points despite being vastly more talent then SLC. I get it, winning is all that matters but the point of a coach is to get more out of your players.

#1 How did you come to the conclusion prior to that game that we had way more talent than them #2 We beat them by 8 points in their own backyard #3 Prior to games, it is a normal and known practice that teams are responsible for sending their opponents game tapes of each other, we sent ours to them, somehow Southlake, she didnt send hers, them ****'s tried to cheat and still lost!

I'm a MNW alumni, I actually went to school with most of the players on that squad, you don't have to convince me of anything. I never said he was better than any team from South Fla or he would beat us, I just said for what he's done on his resume he's been a good HS coach down in Georgia & Bama.

Relax, im not sure how you got off track, my point was simple in that you can go down the line and look at the high priced/ overpaid coaches and see their track records.

Because you had 8 guys in the Rivals top 250 in the 2008 class and SLC had none. (I am surprised by that, but I searched the link below)

It is not a shot at MNW to say that they had far superior talent compared to SLC. They won the game and that is what matters but the talent alone says the score should have been different. It like when we beat Duke by a touchdown, there is a reason to be upset.

My friend you do not have a “clue” how all people in Ga talk. LOL coming from a New Yawker.

Thought the article was interesting though that 45 coaches in state clearing over a hundred grand, probably more than are high school principals.

You are 100% right lmao I have NO idea. I wasn't even trying to be disrespectful about it. I just figured since all native New Yorkers have our accent. I figured everyone in Georgia also had that accent. Is that type of accent only used by the backwoods georgia people? How do the suburb dwellers talk?

Ya that is a crazy stat lol, but that is probably part of why they are so good at football.

There is nothing erroneous about not trying to draw conclusions on speculation.

Here are the reasons cited by the CC BOE in an open records request obtained by the local newspaper. I've inserted comments in RED

• Providing pills “on more than one occasion” to students. None of the documents identifies the type of medication, except for one witness who said the pills he saw “might have been Aleve,” which is an over-the-counter pain killer.
Sure against the rules but no proof it was anything over the counter. Meanwhile, the local Taco Bell manager who has half the education as Propst is perfectly fine with handing out Aleve. (would be in any medicine cabinet)

• Owing $301,317 in federal income taxes and $143,000 in delinquent state taxes.
A non-issue, he is paying through garnishments and has not been charged with any crime.

• Interfering in the hiring of Jamie Dixon as the Colquitt County High School principal.
He set up a meeting with Dixon at Starbucks. The report does not indicate what Propst tried to accomplish from the meeting. Perhaps he was excited about the hire and had an idea he wanted to share or perhaps he wanted to let him know who really ran the school. Either way it was bad judgment but hardly fireable.

• Insubordination.
They cite Rush yelling at an administrator. Do they fire all employees that get upset? What did he refuse to do? Why not fire him on the spot? Just another BS excuse.

• Attempting to charge $143.66 for a personal hotel stay to the school system.
That is a pretty cheap Marriott in Atlanta. Perhaps Rush was there to meet about some players and thought he could expense the room. I use to work in the office supplies sector and you would be surprised about how much money is wasted by school systems. $143 over 10 years isn't some scheme to steal money, it is a mistake.

• Interfering with another sport.
He told some changes that he didn't want football players playing whatever sport they coached. There needs to be more context to this. I have never heard of a football coach that did not want his players running track. Propst wasn't some backwoods triple option guy, he was a student of the game.

• Problems associated with the 2018 football team and especially conduct at the end of the championship game loss to Milton.
The team just lost their second state championship in a row, they were upset. Every year a losing team starts some type of incident. The year before WR started a fight after their loss to Rome.

None of these incidents were firable at the time. If anything the BOE decided to fire him over the combination of them all and they have that right. The next coach that takes over for Propst isn't going to get 140 college scholarships over 10 years. The fact is they don't have that type of talent in CC. The skill was built by Propst and his staff. It is very obvious that he ****ed of the wrong person and that is why he was fired.
Your conclusion was erroneous. You specifically stated in a post that all he did was give out some Alleve even though you have no clue if that’s the only medication/pharmaceuticals he handed out.

It’s ok to try to p1ss away your boner for Pillpst for a minute, slowly regroup as the amorous feelings briefly subside, and admit you have no clue on his pill distribution.

I told you I don’t care about Pillpst. So keep beating it to him until you callous. Just try not to to invent facts. Carry on, my wayward son.

The allegations do not suggest he gave out over the counter medicine. One witness believes it was "Aleve". No known criminal complaint has been filed by the school or anyone involved. It is not a matter of my knowledge but rather the points listed in the report.

Is it possible that the meds were over the counter? Sure it is, but it is also possible that they were roids or maybe even viagra, but with no evidence or even accusations I don't see it as probable.

You said he only gave out Alleve in a post. That’s why I corrected you. None of us has a clue exactly what he gave out because they specifically stated they weren’t disclosing that info. Do you understand now? Can I remove myself from this horrible vortex, or do I need to further explain why you were wrong in stating that he only handed out some Alleve?

Very possibly could have been viagra given to help offset the suspected effects of PEDs...

All of the information has been released. The Moultrie Observer obtained the report. Aleve is the only pill mentioned. It alludes to the board doesn't know for sure.

"The Observer obtained a copy of the investigation report through a Georgia Open Records law request."

The documents were given to the Observer after the school board meeting in which Propst was fired. Nothing is being hidden, they can not hide any documents in GA.

But truth be told the report said the pills “ might have been” Alieve. Not that they “ were” Alieve....JS.

So it can’t be said difinitively that Probst WAS handing out Alieve.Someone BELIEVED it MIGHT have been Alieve.

You’re out of your depth here, brother. I’ve dissected flawed arguments for 25 years at the highest level. I’ll give you this last lesson for free.

That is a direct quote from the article. Pay attention to the sentence that reads: “None of the documents identifies the type of medication, except for one witness who said the pills he saw “might have been Aleve.”

In post 19 of this thread, you stated, “They were over the counter pills (Aleve).”

Can you finally dig your heels out of Pillpst’s goo and admit your statement isn’t supported by the facts? Or are you doing a dumb guy troll job and wasting time?

Owing over $300k in federal taxes and over $140k in state taxes a "non-issue"? Wish my account thought so. I pay my f**king taxes and don't care four the a holes who don't. It costs money to keep jets in the air and troops properly equipped on da ground.

They were over the counter pills (Aleve). The reasons have been released, it was pills, back taxes, and a bunch of other bs reasons.

Love how the community reacted to the board.

****...was that a policeman that just walked out on his post? Those people worship football more than Jesus. Lol

Well those nerd recruiting sites that try and rank players and classes have consistently been pathetic at attempting to do that, i dont follow those and if that's the criteria you went by, and go by, your football analysis will continue to be misconstrued. You'd be better served going by how of our players got D1 schalorships vs how many of their players got D1 ships, than take it a step further, when they got to their college destination, what did they actually do!

So apparently the word lawsuit was thrown out by a few parents of players given "over the counter meds". That and given they had already suspend him once and reprimanded him numerous times since his hire they had no choice but to cut ties. Kids told their parents it was just asprin but one kid got his stomach pumped from it and propst happens to take perks for a back problem so guess they weren't buying it

I'm also just passing along anything I'm hearing from football connected (donors) people around here. But my son played a baseball game against team from that way Saturday and none of those parents seemed surprised by it
