Rush Propst Fired...Again.

Probably the greatest high school football coach in the country. A list of coaches that coached under Propst is Jeremy Pruitt, Chip Lindsey, and John Grass. Propst once turned down a job to coach at Auburn because it would be a pay cut. Propst turned Colquitt County in a national power in football after winning 2 state titles and a national title.

Many of the accusations against Propst are years old, which suggest this firing was probably motivated by something else. It will be interesting to see who Colquitt goes after next. They have money (Propst made $141k) and facilities. (120-yard IPF). The only negative is Colquitt County is in the middle of nowhere which makes transferring there difficult.

I would fully support a Diaz hire of Propst!

The **** is wrong with you?

Ha!

Good one.

Exactly, it's like these people only pay attention to the guys that get the headlines. Lots of **** good coaches, especially in Texas and Cali that aren't doing sketchy crap like Probst. Probst took advantage of a Wild West type of atmosphere in high school athletics, and built powers at schools that had the money needed to buy their way to victory. Maybe it's because I'm older, and have seen(and played for) coaches that have truly changed lives and truly built men of character that I look at Probst as an awful human being and leader.

The article didn’t say it was only Alleve. It specifically mentioned Alleve as a pill he “might have given” to a player.

It mentioned several incidents of him giving out pills and specifically stated that the investigation didn’t reveal exactly what pills he handed out. Further, the report stated that one player appeared dazed and out of it after getting a pill from Pillpst.

“Pillpst”

Nothing impressive to me about a coach building a so called "powerhouse" program when they got one of the biggest budgets in the country, here's an example of what happens to them:

Just keep this in mind, the headcoach at Southlake Highschool was raking in around $400,000 in 2007!

Talked to a friend whose son won a state championship with Propst. The guy took mediiocre programs at Hoover and Colquitt and made them elite teams overnight. More than just big budgets. The guy can coach. Apparently, he's exceptional.

He definitely turned both programs around quickly. Bottom line is he wins. To argue otherwise is kinda crazy.

Im sure he can coach, but how good, im not sure, cause the further you go up north, the shadier things get, when you grow up in Miami and know the history and how much coaches down here use to get paid and still get paid, it was always clear who the good coaches were here, guys coaching on stipends, but a headcoach at the highscool level making $400,000 in Texas, or any highschool looks trashy!

LOL...Hoover's won 6 Championships since they fired em', Colquitt will more than likely have similar results without em', so He's not all that.
