Rumor: Nick Saban to retire

Saben changed the way coaches purchased players. Literally buys kids from families with taxpayer dollars, utilizing assistant coaches to pay families one on one. More than a decade ahead of everyone else.

Yeah but he started filming opponents practices a decade ahead of everyone.

Clemson has already made him the highest paid coach in College Football...

Plus he's built his own Dynasty at Clemson with the potential to have back to back undefeated National championships going 30-0 in two years if they beat LSU, which has never been done in the Playoff era.

I get that most fans think the Hometown appeal is so strong that smart great coaches will walk away from a great situation just to coach at their alma mater, but if he leaves that machine at Clemson to go to Bama it would be a full downgrade.

Clemson has top of the line facilities, big time boosters & consistently recruiting in the top 5, they got everything he needs, plus he's already toppled over Bama's infrastructure as the premier top program in college football.

Dabo beat the stuffing out of Saban in the 2018 Natty title game & already beat Bama for a Natty with Watson, he's literally almost 3-0 vs Bama in National championship games, he's conquered the myth of Tuscaloosa, leaving Clemson now would be a step back.
So you are saying that Mario isn’t coming???
😜😜

I think the whole going back home thing is overrated , Clemson has been his home for years now. Raised his kids and family there. Plus they were very loyal to him when everyone said fire him.

Oh and they’ve paid him very well too. He’s built his program / team and culture why would he want to leave ?
Exactly, Urban Meyer went back home & after all he did for that program they embarrassed him by suspending him for 3 games over some ****head WR corch that he mentored, which is what ultimately made him retire because he couldn't believe the School President & their administration caved to outside media pressure & faux outrage, & actually capitulated to them.

Harbaugh went back home too & he's been wallowing in 2nd place B1G "glory" having never beaten Oh St & only beating 1 ranked opponent his entire tenure at Michigan.

It's an extremely overrated & overplayed narrative of going back home to your hometown or alma mater, in fact most coaches struggle to ever win big at their alma mater or hometown school.

Supposedly bama is in his contract. There’d be no buyout , not sure if that’s legit or crazy fan talk

It is literally the exact opposite...if he goes to bama over any other school...the buyout is 50% more
