Kids coming to the []_[] ... I know he is young, but he aint stupid. He has love for the []_[] .. I Know it when I see it. Doubt he de-commits to anywhere. The []_[]'s to LOSE!

I'm gonna make it real simple. If he wants to make it to the next level. Regardless of Golden and all that crap.

He should go to Miami if he wants to be playing on Sundays.

I said this way earlier in the thread, BIG mistake if he goes to UF. Name me the last significant RB to make it to the league from UF? Fred Taylor and how long ago was that? The one before Taylor was Emmitt.

McElwain can suck Miami's nuts too cause Ingram and Richardson are busts in the league as well.

He will chip years off of Scarlett's career running him into the ground.

IF Jordan Scarlett and Sam Bruce want to be playing on Sundays they would both go to Miami.

The choice that makes sense for Scarlett would be Miami or FSU.

UF is not going to take him where his ultimate goal is.

I know this kid wants to be playing on Sundays.

McElwain likes to run the ball. Ingram and Richardson might be NFL busts, but like it or not Ingram won the heisman...and Richardson went top 10 in the draft. Lacy didn't bust and I'm sure McElwain will point that out.

Scarlett will end up there...just be happy we will likely hold onto Walton who is just as good.

This reasoning is silly in all honesty. There is nothing about a running back's skills that can be 'developed' it's the most natural position on the field. I have land in the glades to sell you if you believe Miami is responsible for Gore, Portis, etc. being as good as they were. If it's the school and not the talent of the player, then why don't you produce a Gore or McGahee or Portis every year? If a kid is talented he will make it from anywhere. For example, Duke Johnson broke records despite playing for a poor staff because he was talented. If the staff mattered so much for the running back position he would have failed using your logic. Two things matter for a back...how good he is and how good his line is, nothing else matters.

Right on brother!

Valid, it's time to change the avatar bro.

UF getting trolled. Watch.

yea, I've seen this movie before. We're the ones getting trolled.

This movie's playing out differently. He's going to get locked up...don't see him going to UF, but rather FSU if that miracle happens.

Again, UF getting trolled. He rides with the U at the end of the day. He's a smart kid that knows he'll do well under Golden's last year, and the next coach that comes in (which, no matter who the **** it is will be an improvement) will make him that much better.

I ******* hate Golden, and as ****** of a coach as he is Duke STILL flourished. Can you imagine if we had another coach? Scarlett sees this too.

Well then why on earth has UF only produced 2 RBs worth a ****(Emmit and Taylor)?

Even F$U has only produced 1 elite NFL RB(Warrick Dunn).

Yet the University of Miami has been able to turn a kid UF didn't want as a RB into a pro bowler and NFL rookie of the year(Clinton Portis) who is from Gainesville...

Edgerin James

Naje Davenport

Clinton Portis

Willis McGahee

Frank Gore

Lamar Miller

Mike James

Duke Johnson

That will be 8 RBs we have put in the NFL since the late 90s...

And a local stud RB wants to go to UF?

Where elite talent goes to never be heard from again...

I guess Scarlett's recruiting for Florida is part of his elaborate troll of the Gators? :noidea:

Remember when you guys signed Kelvin Taylor and Matt Jones and thought they would be those types of RBs for you?

What happened?

Matt Jones has no business leaving early, hasn't accomplished ****, b/c UF can't produce NFL RBs.

The running game was never featured under Spurrier nor Meyer. It was more of a system thing. Spurrier had the Fun N' Gun and Meyer used his QB and slot receivers primarily in the running game. And your list is misleading. All of those guys save Miller and James came out of UM around the 00'-03' period, so it's not as if Miami was churning out a stud back every year the past decade. Miller splits carries and Mike James is a backup somewhere. So that's basically 5 really good backs who played at Miami over a decade ago under completely different staffs than the one you have today, how is that relevant?

Again, if it's about the school and not the player then the same schools would produce the same number of NFL players ever year into perpetuity, it's the school after all right? Miami hasn't had a 1st round pick in 7 years, why is that if it's all about the school producing talent? And don't take that as a dig at Miami. Just pointing out how ridiculous it is when people say 'X school produces NFL players.' It's about talented players first and foremost. Schools don't create stud players out of thin air, it's the athlete not the school.
