Ruiz to "scale back" NIL money
Shedeur Sanders gave each Jackson St player Beats by Dre headphones
Relly we all know that all business ventures are run on ROI.............ROI will dictate Ruiz's decisions............ and the going offers will be affected accordingly..What we need is more than just Ruiz. I look at Bryce Young being used in a Dr Pepper commercial, well, he’ll be in several. Our program needs to become even more marketable, where these kids r getting offered several NIL opportunities.
I’m assuming Ruiz is in the business of helping the U, but he looked at NIL as a biz opportunity to promote his company, as well. The returns have to make sense for the type of $$ he’s shelling out.
When Kevin Colenan committed there CIS was certain he'd have to throw himself the ball because they had no QB.OT: Watched J-State blast FAMU on Sunday and that kid is niiice.
Cool as a cucumber and throws a beautiful ball

This makes total sense...............the Collective like it or not has to share the NIL burden............and hopefully others will step up....Markets always correct themselves on any level. There’s a reason the Wild, Wild West no longer exist; it was unsustainable. These collectives or mega boosters shelling out $10’s of thousands on the black market is one thing; but, when u’re talking $100’s of thousands, millions….PER PLAYER??! YEARLY??! Fck no; that’s not sustainable.
The NIL market will have to include, boosters, businesses, advertisements, social media, commercialism, etc. It’s unfathomable to rely upon a couple of ppl to bankroll this operation, let alone ONE guy. Matter of fact, it’s **** unreasonable to rely upon any one person to bankroll this. Ruiz did a **** good job in highlighting & bringing attention to The U’s ability for NIL, but now it’s up to others, including the players to ante up on this opportunity.
And one last point; fck a BMW. Driving a car that depreciates the moment the two front wheels hit the pavement don’t mean chit; being the face or spokesperson for BMW dealerships across So Fla?? That’s where the $$ is at.
thank you ComeMuchoPingusWay to go out on a limb Nostradamus.
While I agree with what you are saying, I think that I saw previously that when he said something similar it wasn't necessarily that the market for players would go down (I still think it goes up for a bit as more schools get their NILs running/expanded), but the extra attention that Lifewallet is getting b/c of the novelty of college kids being in commercials will wear off.Why uh ohh?
It only makes sense. The value will go to players who've actually done something in college over time. They "deserve" it more. There are also less of them.
The market will sort itself out it always does.
