Ruiz potentially suing the NCAA….

I'm right here muppet.

So, let's go point for point "as you see it" twink. Put forward a single thing I've said that is inaccurate. This should be fun.

While you are calming yourself with a spinner*, maybe you can add #428 to your approval totals for me being "full of ****".

You’re a disgusting dirty old man. Honestly, though, please keep your weird fantasies to yourself.

SDFL = Southern District of Florida?

Help me out here, would an supposed suit by Ruiz be filed in Florida court or Federal?

Are there pros/cons to either setting?
He’d file in District I think but it could be removed to federal based on the issues. Someone help me here. Lol

If there are any two posters I would imagine as kindred spirits, it would be @OriginalCanesCanesCanes and @Empirical Cane

Neither suffers fools gladly.
I don’t get it either. Some of these guys should get along. These two, Empy and MKlein13…

If I had to sit people here together at a bar Mitzvah, I could sit MKlein13 with Empy for certain. I can sit those two and OCCC with me as well.

Quick question...why one venue over the other?? I enjoy learning about this stuff.
Generally speaking, state court is a cesspool. But, I say that lovingly. It's a lot looser and a little more of "anything goes." The "street smart" but not actual smart lawyers prefer to be here. It's far more casual.

On the contrary, in federal court, it can get a little stuffy and self-righteous and sanctimonious. The academics prefer it because they avoid the wild, wild west of the local court. Courts are run strictly. Very little BS. You better be on the ball or you'll get whooped. Shenanigans are not encouraged or tolerated.

As someone mentioned earlier, the jury pool of federal court is slightly more sophisticated. So, if you want more dumb people on the jury (and sometimes you do), state court is a better venue.

If you want to compare it, state court is the local dive and federal court is a 3-star prix fixe restaurant.

Here, Ruiz would prefer to be in Miami state court. He knows all the judges. For better or worse, they know who he is too. And, presuming it would be a jury trial (which is questionable), he'd have more humble folks who'd likely be not as educated.

**** yeah!!

Viva La Peasants!!!

Is their a good chance Ruiz could turn the court room into a Spanish version of My Cousin Vinny?

This is true. We shook hands and killed a case of Diesel. Tried to come up with a plan how to get rid of some twatwaffles on here.

florida state court (circuit court) is affectionately called Circus Court for a reason. half the judges are lawyers who couldn't cut it as lawyers (they couldn't get a job at a firm so they hung up their own shingle and failed at that also). federal court are lawyers that the senate has approved, so they should be more smarter.

anyways, ruiz would do well to battle in state court but he'll end up in federal court and if he gets before judge michael moore he'd be better off dismissing the case and re-filing. judge michael moore "allegedly" doesn't like cubans or their folk

Think Cold War- KGB, Stasi, MI6, CIA… you know… popping people in hotel rooms, folding them up, bones and all, and walking out with them in a suitcase. Regular stuff.
Jeez I'm an angry dude but I wouldn't go that far lol. I'd simply just throw them out of here for good. I have about 15 guys in mind....just say the word.

Oh no worries, Empy wasn’t actually the primary assassin. He’s more like Mr. Wolf. If someone screws up, he goes in and cleans it up…

And then he walks out with 2 suitcases.
