Ruiz potentially suing the NCAA….

@RVACane

Do we still have “fans” siding with the NCAA in here because they hate Ruiz?

Can we cross reference to see if they were the same ones that hated Golden so much they minimized the NCAA impact and wanted to be right about Coach L so badly they denied the Adidas scandal had an impact, or is this a new set of traitors?

You like Samson, you like Mauigoa, you like Bain and Bryant??? That’s the price for them with his money.

Every single one of you *****ing about Ruiz’s mouth would be making this board and/or yourselves 10x more miserable if Ruiz wasn’t putting us in the recruiting NIL game.

Why don’t you guys tell Ruiz to stfu and you write the checks like the lethal silent assassins you are then.

I know I'm late to this but thanks my dude. This is the stuff I been thinking since Ruiz came on the scene. I lurk cause I don't have the energy to engage. Everybody on here trying win some bs debate instead of just conversing like a normal person.

No one annoys me more than the guy that needs to be right, regardless of the situation. They'll be the one at the funeral telling the widow "see, I told him he was gonna die if he didn't change his ways."

Like Dan Lebatard talking about the emotional or "human" side of sports & condescending to his critics claiming he's trying to get people to think. NO man, we understand, we just don't give a ****.

People who use the word "rep" exhaust me. It's cringe as **** to care what people think about you that **** much.

there is a Shakespeare quote about killing all the lawyers,

Thats actually an interesting one because people use it all the time, yet they don't know the reason that the character (D ick the Butcher) wants to kill the lawyers. The reason is that he is describing how he wants to overthrow the monarchy and make himself king, then basically create a society totally dependent on him and where he is worshiped like a God.

How do some on here not understand why Ruiz is always on Twitter getting attention? I mean he probably likes it but he's also on because the entire point of his NIL involvement is marketing for his businesses. He's attracted a ton of attention for himself and his businesses, he's done a terrific job at it actually.

A lot of the silent boosters that everyone aspires for are paying into collectives which are literal pay for play and absolutely should be gone after by the NCAA, even though we know they won't.

I mean Ruiz is one of the few people doing this by the letter of the law while the vast majority of others aren't, yet the NCAA is blatantly going after Miami because it's what they always do.

Then you have people in here who hate Ruiz and not the NCAA. So dumb.

Yup. Here we all are NOT on twitter, taking about Ruiz and Life Wallet over and over, day after day, specifically BECAUSE Ruiz is high-profile and tweets. We're all building his brand awareness for him, giving him free exposure. Ruiz has spent a pittance for the amount of brand awareness he's gotten for his multi-billion dollar company, a company with a marketable product, FYI.

Every time someone on here or the internet whines about Ruiz doing what he wants they are literally becoming part of his business plan, for free.

Will the last complaining sucker who finally gets it please turn off the lights? Thanks.

Don't you dare hate on ****y B.

Man was a genius!

Also, Cade was a fraud!

Generally speaking, state court is a cesspool. But, I say that lovingly. It's a lot looser and a little more of "anything goes." The "street smart" but not actual smart lawyers prefer to be here. It's far more casual.

On the contrary, in federal court, it can get a little stuffy and self-righteous and sanctimonious. The academics prefer it because they avoid the wild, wild west of the local court. Courts are run strictly. Very little BS. You better be on the ball or you'll get whooped. Shenanigans are not encouraged or tolerated.

As someone mentioned earlier, the jury pool of federal court is slightly more sophisticated. So, if you want more dumb people on the jury (and sometimes you do), state court is a better venue.

If you want to compare it, state court is the local dive and federal court is a 3-star prix fixe restaurant.

Here, Ruiz would prefer to be in Miami state court. He knows all the judges. For better or worse, they know who he is too. And, presuming it would be a jury trial (which is questionable), he'd have more humble folks who'd likely be not as educated.
you have to know your **** to be in federal court a lot. a easy example is extensions. in state court, no one gives a ****. half the time no one files for an MET. in federal, good luck getting one and you better be on time.

of note, for anyone wondering every litigator on here in Florida has had cases in mostly every civil state court all over the state. firms will tell you you'll handle whatever is in your region but thats a lie when the turnover occurs and you get transferred files for handling. so you can be a lawyer in miami but had to travel to Jax for hearings

He’d file in District I think but it could be removed to federal based on the issues. Someone help me here. Lol
hed probably try to file in state court (circuit civil) and it would get removed to federal by the NCAA. no shot this wouldn't get removed as well. it would still be in miami but in the federal court house under the federal rules of ciivl pro and not the Florida rules.

florida state court (circuit court) is affectionately called Circus Court for a reason. half the judges are lawyers who couldn't cut it as lawyers (they couldn't get a job at a firm so they hung up their own shingle and failed at that also). federal court are lawyers that the senate has approved, so they should be more smarter.

anyways, ruiz would do well to battle in state court but he'll end up in federal court and if he gets before judge michael moore he'd be better off dismissing the case and re-filing. judge michael moore "allegedly" doesn't like cubans or their folk
this.

however, there is a cane football alum who is now in Orange County now. hes relegated to hearing bull**** civil cases but hes still there lol

I don’t think the flack that he’s getting has anything to do with him promoting his business at all.
Most of the people that don’t like it, including myself, are just being scared, honestly.

From a pure business standpoint it’s brilliant. It’s also been brilliant he found a way to also support the program legally and he’s able to freely announce anything he wants on social media.

But most of us that have been around this program since the 80s understand how much hate the NCAA has towards Miami and how much hate the Blue Bloods have towards this program. There’s always the sentiment that we have to be so goody two shoes because the NCAA is constantly looking and waiting for us to do something wrong

Just like a lot of our younger fanbase doesn’t really understand what has gone on in the past, a lot of other fan bases really don’t even know what happened to Miami in the past.
However, they repeat what ever any old head that was a fan of Ohio State or Alabama or Georgia says. If grandpa and dad say that Miami’s a dirty program that’s full of thugs, then that’s what they believe. Now all of a sudden NCAA comes in with probation and it continues to feed a narrative that’s already existed.

But I also believe that this lawsuit likely needs to happen. And maybe a lot of the bullying that the NCAA has done is because of the Shapiro scandal backfiring on them.

If Miami has had a target on its back because the NCAA has been wanting retribution because we made them look stupid; then they might have to except to let bygones be bygones or risk a possibility of getting embarrassed again.
