Everybody’s doing it worse but you pick us repeatedly for steaks and car rentals and boat rides.

Not that I disagree with you, but posters on a message board anteing up smells like a gator collective (which is illegal based on the definition previously posted). Why don’t you pay for the nil then if your going to tell Ruiz to stfu?
That’s the thing about the NCAA right there. The gator has a collective, it was involved in a very public NIL disaster with Rashada involving $13.5 million and the NCAA put us on probation for steaks at Ruiz’s house with his clients, the Cavinder twins. Who else other than Ruiz has a legitimate business purpose a sign a NIL Deal?
I dont even think we really won in that either since took 2 bowl bans self imposed which mitigated some of the punishment.yes and no. we ultimately won because they got greedy and stupid, but creating a three year plus "cloud" (sheeet, i hatte to use a Golden term) that hung over the program caused plenty of damage.
didnt see anyone calling him names. hes loud lol. thats not calling him a name. its what and who he is right now. I doubt he actually sues the NCAA tbh. it's a losing battle and will drain a ton of resources (his firm isnt bigger than the big law firm the NCAA would contract this out to). truth is, they'll bury his firm (its a small firm) in paper where it'll either take up his associates time or eventually withdraw bc the amount of time and money that will go into it. on top of that, the NCAA wont do their own discovery. they'll hire the best consulting firms in the world to do it for them. That’s the thing about the NCAA right there. And a few people are in here calling him names and telling him to stfu after the players he’s brought us and the extended battle he’s about to undertake against these ******** in the NCAA.
No, he was called a clown. He can hire lawyers too if he wants to.didnt see anyone calling him names. hes loud lol. thats not calling him a name. its what and who he is right now. he can but he isnt dumb either. he knows how much billing will get thrown onto him that hes gotta pay up for something that won't net much. its an incredible waste of money. once you've been outside counsel, you know how the game is played w billing.el dice lo

UM recruiting controversy heats up as ACC tourney begins
John Ruiz, a billionaire involved in sponsorships , says he is "100% going to sue" the NCAA.www.axios.com
Here’s my prediction. That’s the thing about the NCAA right there. The gator has a collective, it was involved in a very public NIL disaster with Rashada involving $13.5 million and the NCAA put us on probation for steaks at Ruiz’s house with his clients, the Cavinder twins. Smh.

But that's just it... Ruiz has maintained all along he's legit so he's always been willing to put it all out there... question is will the NCAA really play ball when push comes to shove?? They don't like a fight.. they just want to rule without question.... Ruiz is now forcing the fight....Not sure the NCAA really wants that as much as they seem to on the surface....This is a two way street; if this goes to court, all communications can be subpoenaed. There’s still a fine print regarding NIL & Boosters.
Sure I like them. That’s not the point. I like the guys Bama gets. I like the guys UGA gets. I like the guys Taint gets. They have boosters who buy all their kids. They have for years and years. But those guys don’t flash neon ******* signs at the NCAA on Twitter like 16 year old girls whose daddy just bought them a Mercedes.
Buy the players. Just shut the **** up about it. You know, just like literally every single other program does except this one.
Scroll back up to your other post I responded to for my thoughts on this. In short, that defense may be more trouble than it's worth for the NCAA. It also seems to open the door into broad discovery into action taken (and more importantly, not taken) by the NCAA in dealings involving all these other (arguably all of us) boosters.
So quiet and under the table is better than above board and public. Crimes don't happen if they don't make the news, right?Sure I like them. That’s not the point. I like the guys Bama gets. He didn't invent anything. His wealth comes from buying prospective litigation claims against insurance companies (which of course are worthless unless you eventually actually litigate them, or sell them off to someone else). He’s the richest man in FL due to inventing or patenting something, not his law firm. IIRC.
How is that a good idea? How do you demonstrate you have been financially damaged without opening up your books to support such an assertion? Or how do you demonstrate that now such and such recruit doesn’t want to talk to you because of the association without disclosing who you’re talking to in the first place?Agreed. Everyone is raising defamation (also possible), but I mentioned tortious interference earlier as the more interesting cause of action (and the one that potential causes the NCAA the most headaches when it comes to the breadth of discovery and venue).
Been saying this forever.
Can you name a aTm booster? How bout Georgia? Penn state?
I’m grateful for Ruiz, but he needs to stfu.. I wouldn’t matter if he never said a publicly and did what the guys to for those other schools. The NCAA would still find a way to come after us even though he was moving in silence.
