Rosier in midseason form

Watching that play was painful bringing back to many reminders of last year.

There were a lot of comments last year about the lack of motion offense used in addition to not using this play more. Malik just has problem with plays that require him moving and making reads at same time. If you run motion Malik got to pull out from under center an account for the motion man unless play is a straight hand off. that just requires him making one extra read on a lot of plays and he has shown that affects his throwing.

Both situations Richt dumbing it down to help Malik out.

Yall can act like people that don't want Malik to start are "bad fans" or whatever other bull**** you can come up with, but at the end of the day we're going to be right. Malik isn't going to be good. That much is just about fact at this point.

Does this mean I think our Team is going to lose every ******* close game? No. I think its possible we win out in the regular season, even with trash *** Malik Rosier at QB for us. Now is that a reflection of his skill, or the entire team surrounding Him? its pretty obvious our RB/WR/TE core can be ******* elite, and Obviously our Defense is full of studs. And while I'd be very happy with winning out in the Regular season, ultimately our goal is to win the ACC.

If I had a choice between: (A) Starting one of the freshman and losing vs LSU and one random ACC game but beating Clemson to win the ACC, or (B) Start Rosier, win out in the regular season, then lose to Clemson and the bowl game.....I know which option I'd pick.

Everyone knows Malik is limited. You miserable ***** screaming about it on a message board every time he misses a pass isn’t going to make someone else get the QB gig. If he’s as terrible as you think, then it should be easy for one of the 3 other guys to take the job.

You guys repeating the same stupid **** every day about him completing less than 50% of his passes isn’t going to make Weldon, Perry, or Williams win the job; it’s only going to make this place a bigger toilet.

I swear, sometimes the throws are so bad it feels like he’s doing it to troll people.

I can envision him bombing a throw then going online after practice and chuckling at the reaction.

It's a bad throw. If that is how he continues to practice, then another one of our talented QB's will pass him.

Why do we have to freak out over one video? We have depth now. The cream will rise. We are not "stuck" with our starters like in years past (or like last year with Evan).
He can be 5/24 CMR aint pulling him...were stuck with this **** again this season
Blame it on the TE...He ran a terrible route 😂🤔
What was he suppose to be doing crawling to the sudeline

Hey recruits! Come to Miami where you can set the school record for yards and TDs and be called trash by fans who think they’re experts because they’re an assistant coach on their kid’s flag team.

I bet Rosier is the only player to miss a pass today, too.

I don't think it's easy simply because I think Richt is going with Rosier for no reason other than age and the fact he started last season. No joke that is honestly the only reason I think Rosier is starting - because he's a RS SR and the others are freshman.

As Cus D'amato said,'Square pegs don't die round." So yeah, Rosier is what he is. We should know what to expect and be realistic about what to expect from him in terms of improvement

But the way I look at it is if QBs of the past like Jay Barker and Craig Krenzel can win titles(ironically vs UM in title games) why cant Miami find a way to do big things with Rosier? Again, Rosier isn't the only question mark on this team(Oline, kicking game, etc) but it also has a lot(yeah, I said LOT) of talent in many other places.

This board - which I love -has a bit of Shannon/Golden Derangement Syndrome and afraid to actually be positive about things. It's like they expect to be Charlie Brown having the ball pulled from them as they are about to boot it by Lucy.

Personally, Im not a big Rosier guy but I also believe this squad can overcome him because I see a **** good football team that Richt and Co have put together the past few years. But to be honest, Im also very weary of this - this guy can also cost us a game single-armedly.

C'mon, Chise.

We all know this was a fluke - but of all flukes to get on video this early - it's like the gods wanted to pull our chains!

If Cager dropped a pass - we'd think nothing of it. Nor if Homer got stuffed. We'd pay no attention to Jeff Thomas getting run down from behind. Nor Ammon Richards having a pass slip off his fingertips.

But Rosier? Throwing one in the dirt?

You gotta admit - that's just a bit of irony.

And irony can sometimes be ironic.

Ironic enough to palm my own face and shake my head - trying not to laugh at this one exercise - of all the players during the entire practice - this one was caught. On video.

Waits for the usual suspects to say not to overreact despite the large sample size of Rosier being horrible

Can't wait for him to cost us a championship

No need to overreact. Its just one play on day two of fall camp.

This is truly truly a mentally challenged thread I must say. Rosier looked great at times and horrible at times. If he plays well he keeps the job , if he doesn't he won't . Simple as that but he has to start for LSU as you don't send a kid out there who is a freshman ( RS or not) against that kind of D on that stage unless you have to . We don't have to . We have a QB who beat FSU for the first time in forever , beat a top 15 VT team and beat the crap out of a top 5 ND team. Not saying I think Rosier is the starter by the end of the year ( not sayin he won't either though) just saying no one in their right mind can think Rosier shouldn't be game 1 QB. And to freak out over 1 throw in practice is silly. Now if this was a video on a scrimmage in 2 weeks where he goes 4-19 then that would be different but c'mon it is day 2 and 1 throw.

needed to square his shoulders a little more. It's these small details that you wish Malik would be more of a technician with. He's a gamer, so I really don't get too far down on the kid, but it seems like he needs either competition or high stakes to play his best.

You make it seem like this decision is an either/or.

You know there is a greater possibility of C) You bench Rosier. Your freshman is not ready. You lose multiple games you should have won and you have to go back to Rosier.

It is not nearly as easy as your simplistic options make it seem.
