He's been on record saying he hates recruiting and didn't do much of it while at Miami iirc. In today's CFB landscape you can't have that mentality and after being in the pro game for so long I doubt he wants to dive into recruiting young kids again

The demise of the program began when he left in 2003

He was the brains behind the most prolific offenses in Miami history. The guy is adored throughout the NFL. He is having a huge impact on the Colts right now on both sides of the ball. He got a really raw deal in Cleveland.

Chud has rings.........NFL experience as an NFL coordinator and head coach........is a great recruiter..........is an x's and o's guru.............loves Miami and most importantly can be had very cheap as he is sitting on a 10 million dollar buyout he received from the Browns. Can probably get him for 2 mil per year with incentives.

You wanna pay Mark Stoops 4 mil per year? Mark Hudspeth 3 mil per year? Gimmie a break........

Chud is the savior of our program.........the Rolodex he must have at this point is insane with his NFL experience.

Get rid of Golden on November 30 and hire Chud. This is a 10 win team next year......

If not for the NFL talent, a top 5 defense, and special teams full of NFL talent this bozo gets the Dorito treatment. The people at Miami now weren't there in 2000/2001 so who ****ed over who doesn't really matter at this point. His UNC happenings are concerning, but far from the end for him if he truly was found 100% innocent. Just on Monday, both the general office and the athletic department were flooded with, "Hire Butch," emails. He has an uphill battle, but he is may very well be the next coach.

As far Chud is concerned, he's my third choice after Butch and Stoops even though I disagree with your analysis and reasons for hiring him. No need to put Butch down to try and make Chud seem like the better candidate.

The the admins are an even bigger bunch of morons than what we've all taken them for. One guy is too "****y" another guy "practices his guys too hard"

With that mentality...we're ****ed no matter what. I'd personally look for both those traits in my next coach.

Bears fans are not exactly thrilled with Trestman right now. Not to mention it's been reported that he hates recruiting. I want Golden gone ASAP but I don't think Trestman would have been the right hire, either.

I think he's a very good offensive mind. You combine his system with South Florida talent and we'd be automatically winning the Coastal every year and on our way back to the national discussion.

I can't stress it enough...in college football coaching matters a **** of a lot more than it does in the pros. I can't even tell you how strongly I believe that.

As for recruiting..you win and they come. You get a good coach...you'll stop losing to the GT's and UL's of the world. That alone will help recruiting.

If we can't get a football coach to leave UK for us, then the admin is not serious about competing.

Go big in the next HC search. Protect yourself by having a reasonable-to-small buyout. He leaves on his own, it's because he's made the job more desirable for the next hire. And if we fire him, the buyout doesn't limit us in the next hire.

Butch is #1 for me though. Kids will come knocking down doors to play for him especially after the U 2 airs.

He would bring us so much talent and surround the staff with good coaches and coordinators.


The kids down here in South Florida know about Butch and what he's capable of. The track record is there. Kids will play for him in a heartbeat.
