Roast me all you want

This game feels like the Texas AM game where we were ready to anoint this team as being back. UF was terrible last year and wasn’t expected to have a very good team this year so we beat a mediocre team at their home. I liked what I saw overall but didn’t like the constant throwing against his body that Cam did and didn’t like the usual dumb decision by CMC to leave in the starters well after the game was over.

I expect CMC to cost us at least a game or two by his poor decisions. We have a favorable schedule but I’m not drinking the kool aid yet and hope the team stays focused.

I didn't read all of it but I will say.... You have a right to your opinion and never be scared or feel sorry for it. I will just keep it simple and short. Cam Ward ALONE makes this team different than any team we have had in a Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.

Disagree that talent is vastly different, we were talented last year too. Yes, we’ve level up in some spots, but I think it’s similar overall. That said, it was great to see us play a clean game and dominate those dip****s from the north.
I think the big difference is talent upgrade. Which of these assessments do you disagree with
QB-much better
RB-better with Martinez starting over Parrish
WR-same but a year older helps
OL-same (admittedly small sample size)
TE-much better
DT-better and more depth
DE-much better, even without Bain
LB-better
CB-same but a year older
S-worse
ST-same

I saw a UM team play much better than the team against TAMU. UM should have scored at least 48 and could have gone over 50 with ease. I saw a defense that, outside of one play and the lag way drive, dominated the game. And I saw an offense that was completely on control and should improve as the in-game timing between Ward and his WR’s continues to improve.

We also don’t have a QB that can’t pass against a zone defense. In fact when UF played zone near the end zone, Dawson, Ward and X already knew which play to run. And after the game Ward said that play is unstoppable because he and X can sight adjust and run the pattern 3 different ways. And considering that QB is so dramatically the most important position in football, we will have an advantage at that position EVERY SINGLE GAME THIS SEASON.

One sign of being a good team is beating up on weaker competition. Yea Florida is expected to be weak, but it’s a still a rivalry game.

Also I didn’t expect us to be up so much where sitting the starters would be an option, I’m sure many of us didn’t expect that. The backups should get plenty of reps these next few games

Obvious schtick is obvious...This is the same dude that was *****ing about Borragales missing a field goal that he hadnt missed up to that point.

As long as Cam Ward can decipher a zone defense, I’m OK. The team was 7-5, really 8-4, with a stagnant offense and one real pass rush threat on the DL. I’m not drinking the Kool-Aid. On paper, they’ve made major upgrades, especially at the most important position. Dawson had to coach around TVD’s issues.

Not my style to roast people I have never and probably will never meet on a message board, nonetheless. However, I will say this. I get where you are coming from. We witnessed it in '09 and 2017 in particular. Those rosters however were not stacked like this year's and had a coach(Shannon) who had no business being a HC and another(Richt, and a big thanks for what he did for the program) who was burned out and started to show the beginnings of a serious illness. Add to the fact Miami's biggest fanboy(The former mayor's son) left CMC with very little to work with. I will close by saying this: if this squad makes it to/wins the ACC title game/goes to the CFP, the CFB is going to be really worried because unlike, Jimmy and Butch, Mario, IMHO, isn't going anywhere.

I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with the unarmed. Just doesn't seem right

No roast here. I agree with you. CMC is good for a couple of game day coaching blunders that will most likely cost us. We will be out coached at times.

However, will we be able to marginalize that and win with sheer talent alone this year? This year we have more in the cub board I believe and I think Mario is better than last year and has learned from his mistakes.

Florida will finish the season .500. We have to beat a big boy to be a bog boy!

We can have good things too, just because this fan base is so beat down doesn't mean we have too be so negative, if you believe in this program and have faith all things are possible. Enjoy the ride for how ever long it last. WHY CAN'T WE HAVE NICE THINGS TOO?
