Rivals says Jacolby George commits.

Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, the “stars don’t matter” brigade will not stand down. No, not every kid has to be a 5* or high 4*. But you cannot win big without a roster that is made up of kids that are high end, high ceiling athletes. You can have some strong contributors and kids that play over their head that are lower ranked, but there has not been a national champion in recent memory that didn’t hit the blue chip ratio. We will not compete with clemson with 5’10 WRs that run 4.7 while every single top rated WR in SFL plays elsewhere. That goes for every position.

Seems to play faster than his listed 40, has a knack for making big plays, I want to know the level of competition he’s facing in these clips cause he’s blowing by everyone

Idk about the comp but it’s obvious this kid can play. Like that he runs all the routes precisely in his video and not just fly/go routes.

Is it any secret why our last two receivers was highly ranked 4 stars and recruited by the likes of sabam in Ahmmon Richards and Jeff Thomas. So it kills me to see people say who cares lmao
No one is implying that Miami will stop recruiting 4 star WR or higher, but if you look at their board rn based on recent offers and who their targeting. They’re going based off evaluations and potential fits

The kid is a sophomore relax. He’s two years away from getting on campus. He may grow and definitely get faster.. the tape shows he can play. Clemson’s most reliable receiver in the last 5 years has those same traits lol

Not trying to sound like that guy, because I do agree that stars matter but everyone of our starting WR and 2 deep are 4 stars and higher with the exception of KJ Osborn & Wiggins.

My goodness a lot of you aren't very smart. Stars really don't matter for '21 kids there's so much evaluation and shake up to come and secondly this kid running a 4.72 and having a 32 inch vert is really good for a '21. I'm sure a lot of you talking about him being slow would take Collier with his 4.8+ 40.

The kid just finished his Soph year of H.S. Do you really think that time won't be significantly better 2 years from now? If it's an electronic time, 4.7 is plenty fast for a Soph in H.S.

this is revisionist history about clemson's recruiting. go look at some of their takes from the 2014, 2015, 2016 classes, which were the ones that first put them in championship games.

Maybe we should wait until the 2021 class has been fully evaluated before we get bent out of shape about stars

Clemson also has no 2021 commits.

Oh you mean like mid 3 star starting LB Kendal Joseph or 3-star starting safety Tanner Muse. Or low 3-star starting safety K'von Wallace. Three star starting safety TJ Green. Jordan Leggett and Adrian Baker. The Clemson machine is rolling and they getting everybody now. But they weren't a recruiting force in those classes. And wasn't just due to small classes. Their average recruit rankings were in the high 80's to right at 90. They got a really good college QB in Boyd then a generational QB in Watson and it changed their whole program around.

yes and also had an incredible string of DL recruiting and development... a formula btw that is possible w/ the combo of manny + enos

You’re right! And just watch the film. This young man can play and move. He doesn’t look slow on the field. He’s a special talent. And 4.7 at 15 isn’t bad. All it’s telling me is that he just needs to get stronger. He’s young.
