Richt's quote about which QB to go with

I'm staying away right now. If I go by campus with how I feel right now I'll leave in cuffs. Thanks.

Rosier, we've seen enough to know what we are going to get. While everyone here seems to think Perry is the savior and anyone who thinks otherwise get downvoted to ****, he has a way to go. But we know what Rosier brings so might as well ride with Perry or throw JW in there. But with that line not getting any push and the predictable play calling it wouldn't matter if we suited Ken Dorsey back up.

Was that game all on him? I'll be honest I didn't see that game I was on vacation. But I do think he can beat bad teams away in most cases.l Kosi looked like he was playing his first HS game.
Yes it was on him and you’re looking ridiculous right now

Richt said he made the qb back change because Perry wasn't able to read the defense. Well what the **** is the QB coach teaching these guys than. This is becoming very similar to when Golden lost the team and the fans. Richt needs make changes with the scheme and coaches. If he sticks with them at years end his legacy will always be tarnished like Golden's. God please help up

Am I the only one that remembers corch Rich saying that we waited until the "spirit" told him who to start earlier this season?

This is a 9 to 5 job for Richt. He's not breaking down film on defenses into the wee hours of the night -- and there's nothing wrong w that -- but who on the offensive side of the ball is ?

I'm not sure we've game planned for a single defense this season. We just go in w our lil plays and expect the best.

Anyone who thinks malik honestly makes us better is incompetent at best. The real question is how much better can nkosi make us. I see ALL kinds of question marks with his game as well but im not gonna start on that. Yes Virginia disguises their coverages well. However it's not a coverage issue or how you read it when EVERYTIME you see adversity you singularly look for harley or Wiggins depending on which side of the field you scramble too then force a throw regardless of coverage... I think nkosi has plenty of upside but I question how much of it he'll ever see with jon richt as the qb coach. Hes a moron and he has no clue how to coach up a kid so he'll be able to succeed. Thats the sole reason this job should clearly be either Cade or jarrens(really jarrens). They both have the coaching and the skill sets to succeed. Jarren is a far better passer though. I'm just curious of something. How many of yall honestly believe that if we see all these issues with staff n play calling etc. Do you think the players dont? You think it doesn't affect the kids who are sitting behind behind players they KNOW they are far better than. But your coach who told you how much he loved your game & it the best since sliced bread still refuses to play you & help his team... ONLY way nkosi will be able to flourish is if you reprogram how he sees the game & call you'r players dependent of that. He needs to be forced to look inside out. Get in a rhythm by using your tight ends & check downs. Once he finds his rhythm he can be very good. But these sporadic passes we call are simply hit or miss cause as a passer hes not advanced enough. To be clear this is the exact concern I had about mjj & why I didnt want him specifically. We need an advanced passer to vet around the incompetence of Jon richt. Otherwise were screwed.

It wasn't the QB change that did us in. It was Richt's expectation that Rosier was going to throw the ball 25 times while coming off the bench.

Rosier should've been running that read option play like 6-10 times in the 2nd half. Instead we waited until the final drive to use it and it led to a TD.

As well, there is a ton of blind faith in N'Kosi Perry today. The kid looked completely lost in that UVA game. As teams collect film on Perry he will face the same type of disguises he saw against UVA. What I saw was a kid who is not intellectually prepared to take the helm of a ranked, Power 5 team.

Richt doesn't understand how to install wrinkles that work against different schemes.... motion can clear out or confuse defenses....doesnt understand how to utlize his plays that work well like the jet sweep to Thomas or Harley....the wildcat with Dallas.....he has no 2min off....waited til his back was against the wall to call a screen play....not only does he need to learn how to install a few week to week bailout wrinkles....Richt might not be a good playcaller anymore period....its evedent he chokes under pressure....sometimes his players bail him out.....its never the other way around...

U failed to mention the defense bailing him out. Time after time after time.

It was a combination of the two. The bigger issue is that if nkosi is who you want to lead us then you just killed this kids confidence(HE IS FRAGILE) moving forward & for what? The problem primarily was the expectations put on him while executing your play calling in that capacity. You gotta start out slow with him but **** if the way we start the first few drives every game will let nkosi excell.

Im simply on the other side of that issue. Perry's fragile mindset should not be a major factor in the decision process. Everyone has to find their own confidence in sports. DB's get beat and need to cover that same guy the next series. WR's drop passes and are targeted again. O linemen whiff, etc... Perry needs to figure out how to learn to read defenses.

Again, I felt Richt made the correct move in pulling Perry. The kid looked LOST. The stubbornness of Mark Richt showed reared its ugly head when he tried to make Rosier act like Perry. I was screaming in the game chat to let Perry run the read option. Then I was screaming for Rosier to come in and run the read option. He played Rosier but never made those play calls until it was too late.

Are you stupid? I said I didn't see the game,

+13 points over Perry in two and a half quarters. Stop!
Yes, in two and a half quarters, with a lot of help from a long Travis Homer run, and little from Rosier himself other than a good scramble or two. You get on Perry about his interceptions, but Rosier had one just as bad, and another that was an up-for-grabs ball that Thomas had to turn into a defender for to knock it down before it was intercepted. Rosier looked no better than Perry. We get it, you have some relationship or connection to Rosier, given how desperately you are trying to prop him up. But he has NOTHING over Perry, including his reads and his accuracy.

...and Rosier didn't seem to be doing a very good job of reading the defense either. Difference is for whatever reason Rosier gets a VERY long leash with Richt, while Perry gets pulled for doing what Rosier does for multiple games in a row.

The problem is, Rosier doesn't appear prepared either....despite being a RS Senior.

That could be true but we still would have beaten Virginia. Could he beat the good teams? No! But Kosi isn't going to either.
.
How do you know that? That game was Perry's what, second start ever? And his first on the road. And he gets one quarter to play his way through adversity?? He's supposed to be our future. Live or die with it. Why go backwards with a QB you know has no velocity, accuracy, or ability to look off defenders? Perry is struggling? Coach him out of it! Why the **** else are you there Richt??
