Richt's quote about which QB to go with

It is what it is. Perry wasn't really ready but Rosier isn't quite good enough. So everyone here wanted Perry to take the helm starting at the UNC game and Richt did that. Perry looked nervous in the first half of FSU. He was almost pulled at halftime of the FSU game. Once UVA got film on him it looked like a wrap. Richt had to make that move.

The big question we should be discussing is, who starts against Va Tech?
That's what happens when u let the animals run the asylum. He knows jarren or cade is the answer to this puzzle.

But they're not the right answer in 2018.

I think we all know that Jarren and/or Cade are the long term solution. Coach Richt told everyone that when he gave the lion's share of 1st team reps to Rosier all summer & fall.

Did Perry **** your mom or are you Rosier's side piece?

They both suck I've said it many times, it's just who sucks worse? I would never want a thin QB like that if he's a runner/passer. Williams has the body of a running QB, Perry looks like Harris. You touch him he fumbles. Not thanks! Bring in Williams if you want to start a freshman. Perry has had a year and a half to get better and learn the system. Move on, no more bean pole running QB's.

Rosier is bad, but you guys act like he yanked Tom Brady to replace him with Daniel Steagal. Perry was putrid and looked like he was confused and rattled and wanted out.

Rick’s issue is he either can’t recruit QBs (he’s had a super checkered career signing QBS), or he’s not putting the guys he recruits in a spot to be successful. It’s likely a mix of the two.

Quit blaming Perry redshirt freshmen making his first start in a hostile environment.cmr should've kept Perry in and gave him easy plays to build his confidence.Perry int came from him throwing deep with safety over the top.Virginia played safety deep to take away the big play.even the announcers were saying we needed to got to the shallower routes.cmr play calling cost us this game.
That wasn’t a hostile environment. And that was a below average opponent. It’s a team that their own HC prior to the season said has 27 guys who can play at this level.

Anyone who thinks malik honestly makes us better is incompetent at best. The real question is how much better can nkosi make us. I see ALL kinds of question marks with his game as well but im not gonna start on that. Yes Virginia disguises their coverages well. However it's not a coverage issue or how you read it when EVERYTIME you see adversity you singularly look for harley or Wiggins depending on which side of the field you scramble too then force a throw regardless of coverage... I think nkosi has plenty of upside but I question how much of it he'll ever see with jon richt as the qb coach. Hes a moron and he has no clue how to coach up a kid so he'll be able to succeed. Thats the sole reason this job should clearly be either Cade or jarrens(really jarrens). They both have the coaching and the skill sets to succeed. Jarren is a far better passer though. I'm just curious of something. How many of yall honestly believe that if we see all these issues with staff n play calling etc. Do you think the players dont? You think it doesn't affect the kids who are sitting behind behind players they KNOW they are far better than. But your coach who told you how much he loved your game & it the best since sliced bread still refuses to play you & help his team... ONLY way nkosi will be able to flourish is if you reprogram how he sees the game & call you'r players dependent of that. He needs to be forced to look inside out. Get in a rhythm by using your tight ends & check downs. Once he finds his rhythm he can be very good. But these sporadic passes we call are simply hit or miss cause as a passer hes not advanced enough. To be clear this is the exact concern I had about mjj & why I didnt want him specifically. We need an advanced passer to vet around the incompetence of Jon richt. Otherwise were screwed.
Thanks for taking time and letting us in behind the curtain.
It sure sounds like the players are not falling for CMR BS and is losing the locker room.

Nice post I agree. But could you imagine Perry starting @ VT at night ?

Franchise...I agree with a lot of your post, but you have to give Perry some slack! Richt never opened up the play calling! Everyone and their momma knew when we had to throw the ball! No running game, third and long and horrendous play calling will get yoiur *** beat everytime!!

Richt should have opened the play book instead of his weak *** calls up the middle and fly patterns! Perry stayed in to work himself out of it and the coach opened the playbook like he did for Rosier with 8 mins left on the clock, we would have pulled that game out in the end!! The defense wasn't giving them sh##T!

Now if he goes back to Perry the kid now will be looking over his should playing tentatively! If he stays with Rosier we will lose 2 or 3 more games! Either way we're f##$KED!

The problem is, what does long-term solution mean? We need one of those two guys to take the reigns. This program depends on it. Weldon needs to get his off-the-field crap figured out, Jarren needs to grow up faster, and Richt has to wake up the **** up. I'm not angry with you, SFbayCane; I'm just venting. So sick of this crap...

That's what happens when u let the animals run the asylum. He knows jarren or cade is the answer to this puzzle.
Then he needs to do everything in his power to get them ready. QB development is all on him and his son. No excuses.

It was a combination of the two. The bigger issue is that if nkosi is who you want to lead us then you just killed this kids confidence(HE IS FRAGILE) moving forward & for what? The problem primarily was the expectations put on him while executing your play calling in that capacity. You gotta start out slow with him but **** if the way we start the first few drives every game will let nkosi excell.
If Perry is fragile and he’s not a student of the game he’ll never amount to anything significant anyway. His HS highlights consisted of him lobbing deep passes to mainly 1 receiver who seemed to be very open most of the time. There were no progressions or anything that would lead anyone to believe he was prepared to face defenses led by men making $1M per year. Don’t take projects like Perry if you can’t progress their game.

Dee, is Cade Fortin the kid you were hyping last year in recruiting? He started for UNC this week and was looking really good until he decided to take on a defender head first and got hurt.

I don’t think we win with either.. These QBs are terrible. I would like to think we win if we don’t turn the ball over 2 times in the first 4 series but who the **** knows. Watched Rosier **** the bed so many times, it’s hard to believe he’s gives us a better chance than Perry. The most disappointing thing I took from this game is why Perry is not further along. He does not look good. There are plenty of young QBs that can play, unfortunately Perry is not one of them.

I do agree Perry isn't a Miami QB either is Rosier. Rosier got in with 10 minutes left in the second quarter already down 10. Perry had good field position and still did nothing with it. I think at the very least we would gotten 3 without the 10 points down. JMO, but he came back in a few games last year. With bad teams like Virginia he gets better at the end, Missing that first 20 minutes didn't allow him to loosen up. JMO

Huh, well then....

I certainly don't think Malik makes us better, just better than Perry. I'd have played Williams early on in the season to see what he had, now we're screwed. Start Williams this week, Perry is not the answer.

At best Rosier runs slightly better than Perry, but the primary reason that Rosier gets more running yards is he gives up on pass plays immediately and runs. Perry scrambles to throw, which has resulted

I've said it 50 times Rosier is not a good QB just better than Perry. Again, Perry had us 10 down before Rosier got in, want to blame Rosier for that too?
Also, Perry isn't even close to being the runner Malik is, he's a bean pole he gets a clean hit once it's over for him. Put Williams in he's the best we have.

Another thing I'd disagree with. Both of themselves issues are all off the field. As I said in the past theres a certain point that what's off the field stays there. Judge a kid by what he does on it. Obviously theres limits to that but atleast for jarren it really ain't that serious
