Richt on radio today

So Rosier will be starting again

That’s all I got from this. And on my mama, I’m tired of Richt’s baby soft chit. He acts like a f’ing grandpa. It’s amazing how much older Saban is than Richt but Saban acts way younger and keeps up w the times.

“You know, the game against LSU is probably not the best way to break in kids from high school into that type of a situation.” I thought I would never say this to CMR, but man STFU.

So playing a true frosh QB, w no starting experience against the 2nd best team in the nation, w only a half to go, on the biggest stage in CFB is OK, but against LSU it’s not? Correct me if I’m wrong but Bama played several true frosh that game, correct?

What do we now see in the NFL? Rookie QB’s starting. Rookie running backs starting. Rookie DBs starting. What did we see at UGA? True Frosh QB starting. Some times, True Frosh are the answers b/c they don’t know any better than but to rely upon instinct. It becomes back yard football to them.

I’m telling you, Richt will be a hinderance b/c he doesn’t want to grow as a coach. His way or the highway mentality sucks. He still tells his grand kids, ‘hey, don’t cross the street unless I’m there to hold ur hand’ and his grand kids are 15!

God, I’m sick of his mentality. And the sad thing is, since he’s contributed his own $ towards this IPF, ain’t a **** thing going to change. He’s got his “alma mater” by the balls.

Forget about losing the team, Richt is in danger of quickly losing the fan base with Goldenesque banners flying and all if he doesn't move on from Rosier. Rosier has been exposed for what he is. It's over. Turn the page. The fact that he is still running with the 1s today is disturbing.

In regard to not wanting to throw freshmen out against LSU in game 1....Saban put in a **** true freshman QB for his first game in the national championship game! Richt sounds like a *****.

I'm in full agreement on the bolded. First off, Perry (who was suspended) and Weldon are in their 2nd year. Secondly, Saban threw a TF down at a close deficit in the national title game to a loaded UGA team.

There is a slight difference. Tua played in about 7 games last year before that championship game.

When are you going to start holding the HC and offensive staff accountable?

I get it and i'm not happy about it either, but why beat a dead horse. Sucks, sure does. I guess i feel like i understand CMR is in a tough spot at HC. You don't want to absolutely destroy Malik's confidence because, even if a switch is made, there will be a point in time this year that we need him again.

I hope for my happiness, my dogs happiness, my families happiness that a move is made and we see anyone else but 12. Like a lot of people said, which is very logical, if that's what 12 does then why not see Kosi? If our oline sucks then put the kid who can actually throw while his feet are in motion back there. It can't get worse and the team might rally. I agree with all of this, however i'm not willing to trash our coach, our OC, maybe the gripes about his son are justified, but i will also look at reality and come to grips with what is about to happen. Only thing that made my weekend tolerable was horrid show that school in the panhandle put on last night.

We will have our answer if Perry gets significant minutes with the 1's. If we are up big and our 1's are starting to sit and then Perry comes in Richt has signed off on crappy play by Rosier for the rest of the season.

Some of the veterans aren’t ready to play either coach and never will be...

if I see Knowles on the field aside from a 3 min mop up duty with a 40 point lead I’m going to lose it.

Dean depending on the competition is serviceable at best but the freshman need to get most of his reps as well.

And fckn ROSIER doesn't ever need to see the field i dont care if our QB is still in JV highschool suit his *** up and start him!

I think Rosier will start the next 2 games but I doubt he remains the starter by the end of the month. Richt has no reason to be married to him. If he doesn't dominate Toledo then Jarren can take over at home vs. FIU giving him 2 games (UNC the other) to warm up for FSU. If Jarren isn't ready then throw in Weldon as he can replicate Rosier's skillset running the same plays. He can't possibly be worse than Malik.

I know people keep saying the other guys must not of shown anything in practice for Richt not to play them but if I'm not mistaken Richt has a history of always starting the older guy. Didn't he do the same thing to Stafford when he was clearly the most talented Qb on the team?

tc, Ive conversed with fans, alums and former players, this is spot on. He sticks with Rosier and things will turn very quickly vs Richt. At the very least, the consensus is that they want a new QB worked in

On if he play the young quarterbacks against Savannah State on Saturday: “We’ll treat it that way at every position. We want to play as many guys as we can. There were some young guys that have gotten in the game this past week and some that didn’t get in the game that we do want to get in there. We’re going to find a way to have a game plan to get those guys playing time. they need playing time.
“You know, the game against LSU is probably not the best way to break in kids from high school into that type of a situation. Some of them had to play. Some of them were really ready. Some were not quite so ready and they had to get in their anyway.

This sounds encouraging and shows that Rosier is in a short leash. Understandable that he does not want to start the young dudes vs LSU D. If we continue to see Perry /Weldon getting snaps against the scrubs over the next four games we might see them permenantly soon🙏🏻

Please stop making excuses. More and more teams are starting TF QBs. Richt is using that excuse to cover for his son who is sh*t at developing quarterbacks.

CMR said of Williams multiple times during camp...."he doesn't always know who to throw it to, but when he throws it he hits his target."

I've seen tape of his ability to stand in the pocket and deliver, and also throw darts while scrambling.

I honestly don't give a **** at this point if he doesn't make the right read all the time. We are running a child's offensive scheme as it stands. I am sure the kid could handle it.

I will take a true freshman, who most agree is the program's future at QB, who will make a wrong read sometimes but hit his targets over our 5th year senior who has questionable ability to makes the right reads anyways and also has horrible accuracy.

Put in the kid who was actually recruited as a **** QB, and not a frigging baseball player. Williams has to have a higher QB IQ. He has better raw QB talent. The kid is likely smart enough that as the weeks go on, you can open up more playbook options. Any more time wasted with Rosy is detrimental to the team as a whole, and puts the development of our future stars behind one snap at a time.

I haven't conversed with anybody but the poster formerly known as deerfieldcane, and even I know the deal. This reeks of trying to protect his son because Jon hasn't developed the 3 other QBs on the roster. Richt would rather Rosier take the abuse because he's not Richt's guy. Hope I'm wrong....

I remember that. UGA fans were so mad at him for playing Joe Tereshinski over Stafford.

Yeah, there are nepotism laws for a reason

When fans who regularly travel to games tell me that they aren't going to any more if Rosier is the starter(and I heard this a lot this past weekend in Dallas) this is an issue

If all else fails, wildcat with Deejay Dallas.

Richt is aware of the situation, from off-season speak he was hoping another QB would take the lead. It didn't happen, who's at fault? I'd say his son who coaches the Qbs. You have a fifth year senior who is horrid, 2 four star QB and weldon a 3 star who is at least not capable of simple passes and handoffs? That's on their coach not coaching them up and getting them accustomed to the speed and nuances of cfb.

It upset me we have no intermediate passing game. Rosier just threw it deep everytime. Unsure if that's on Richts playcalling with routes or or Rosier who doesn't feel comfortable making intermediate throws with a higher change of interceptions with more traffic. He'd rather throw it one on one deep? The answer is prob a combo of both and has been spoken off at length this off-season. Needing a proper offensive coordinator and a more talented QB (and coach to coach them up)

What a clusterfvck
