Richt on radio today

What he said that bothered me was that we played much better in the second half and we could have had a chance to win. He is just in total denial and excuse driven.

Rosier is the cancer. His teammates have no faith in him as a starter. 4 straight losses. Put another pitcher in, Passa Rick.

No, I wanted him to say there will be a open competition and we'll be playing 2 Quarterbacks like Bama did last week.
I get what your saying but it has to be Kosi and Cade for NOT stepping up and looking ready during the fall...seriously, coaches see what we saw out of 12 last year. They begged either of them to step up. They spent all spring and summer talking them up. Neither stepped up and challenged 12.

Now, after what we say, Richt may not have a choice but to give one of them a chance but it would have been great if they earned that opportunity over the last month.

Rosier knew he had advantage last year because he was a 4th year guy and played in games. Plus Perry and Weldon were true freshman.

Not this year. Its a clean slate. CMR is a tactician and a mind ***** pro. He named Rosier the starter early to give him confidence to play well. It backfired. Same old Malik. And its year two for Perry and Weldon so CMR is not handcuffed by Malik and can start to insert the young pups.

There is no evidence which suggests this to be true.

"You know, the game against LSU is probably not the best way to break in kids from high school into that type of a situation. Some of them had to play."

How is it elite programs all over the country are breaking in freshman in big games? I say theres mo better way to break them in. Either were not recruiting good enough freshmen or the coaching isn't good enough to get them ready to be broken into a game like Sunday.

We aren’t elite yet. We want to be elite but we aren’t. And our #2 QB was suspended for the game. So unfortunately it was Rosier or our 3 or 4th QB.

Now here is the thing. Whoever gets into the game HAS TO LIGHT UP THESE BUMS. So there will be no doubt they deserve their shot.

There is no evidence which suggests this to be true.

Wasn't CMR a psych major? Plus didn't he get accepted to Brown (ivy league) before pursuing football? Lastly, the past years he has gotten a whole bunch of subpar Golden recruits to over achieve. That is your evidence.

Did he watch Langham throw up his arms in frustration? Did he miss Cager's actions in the end zone? Did he watch a his true freshman tight end throw up his arms and shake his end? Didn't his All-Conference receiver candidate get into Rosier's face? Didn't he see Thomas frustrated on the out pattern when Rosier over threw him by 5 yards? Rosier is a good kid, but for crying out loud this is now insanity.

Sometimes you just gotta roll the dice at some point. I will never forget when Bama played TAMU in Manziels second year and Mike Evans was toasting the Bama secondary the entire 1st quarter..you know what Saban did? He literally emptied his entire CB roster until he found someone who could cover Evans. The analysts were joking about it. He went to his 4th CB and finally found someone who stopped Evans.

That's what you have to do sometimes. Take a chance! Get out of your comfort zone! This is the time to do it! Tell Rosier/Cade/Perry/Jarron that for the next few games there will be 2 QBs who get 75% of the snaps and try to find out whos the best one. If its Rosier then so be it. But we are on a 4 game losing streak right now. We have to take a chance at some point.

(And check my record, I was a HUGE Rosier apologists all summer. Not anymore. You can let me off right here at the next stop because I'm off his bandwagon)
Why was you ever on his bandwagon when it was clear he was trash?

That's because Saban's heartless (not saying it's a bad thing in this case). Notice that Saban doesn't put anyone on staff that he can't fire. And he's not going to stay married to a scheme or player. He doesn't care about your confidence, because if he replaces you or benches you, and you don't recover, then you're not getting your scholly renewed and he'll get another 4/5 star kid to replace you the following cycle. I hate Saban with a passion, but god **** do I respect the **** out of him. If he were Miami's coach, he'd have a constant revolving door at the position until he found someone that stuck.

were they given a legit chance? I dont think they were. It was said rosier basically took all the reps with the 1s in spring and fall camp. That means you got perry and weldon playing with 2s. Now you see the 1st team o-line so just imagine how bad the 2nd team o-line is and goingvs the 1st team defense. While rosier is going against knowles and dean.

Do we know this for certain? Because from what I saw, Weldon and Perry never had a chance to practice with the 1's and the way Richt sounded, Rosier was always going to be the starter.

Rosier may start but you guys have to start looking past the coach speak. They see what we see. Change is being considered.

Serious question. Do some people really expect a coach to walk out there and say: Look, 12, yeah, that fool trash and I know it. He can pack his bags now.....

Naw, a coach cannot do that. He will use words and phrases like examine film, look at the situation, and make a determination. EVERYTHING we have read this year and heard (remember the sit down with Holly Rowe and Maria Taylor) tells us Richt basically prayed Cade or Kosi would step up and force his hand to make the change. They could and did not. I'm all for giving the other guys a shot at this point but you have to be disappointed that the 'game' was rigged for them to ascend and neither could. Lets hope once they get some game action they do enough to force his hands then....

And no, I would not have thrown Jarren out there against LSU either. You want that kid to succeed long term.

Game was rigged for Cade and NKosi?

After Cade began camp being the most accurate of the bunch, did he get 1st team reps vs O2?

Did NKosi either?

There was never a competition

Y’all need to stop w the Cade and Perry didn’t step up bull****

Many reports were they had better camps outside the scrimmages where we threw them behind O2 against D1

Who here honestly believes Duhlik would’ve done great under same circumstances?

I think he has to put Rosier out there first, but I also think we'll see all the QB's. I wouldn't be surprised if they each played a whole quarter.
Why does he ‘have to’?

**** Rosier. I was supporting him, and I wouldn’t be so down on him now if not for his slouched shoulders and lack of leadership when we were down. It was pathetic. Looked like a burnout with no passion or care. Done with that kid

I think he needs to decide who he wants to be his quarterback of the future, and get them in there. The same for other positions. You want to run plays with a full back, you just signed one, put his *** in there. Look at Virginia Tech did last night with a young team and a sophomore quarterback. We can be successful these next few years if we just get this god**** football team where we want to be already and stop ****ing around at the leftovers.
