Reilly Gibbons to Stanford

You guys are crazy if you think any one especially a parent in their right mind wouldn't tell their child to go to Stanford over UM IDGAF ... If Stanford's offering I'm there .... Good luck to him ....this was a executive move by a smart family ....

By that logic, the recruiting rankings would be identical to academic rankings.

**** recruiting ... Im talking about life decisions .... Do you think the two degrees hold the same weight?

At least one Stanford message board had a tease of this yesterday morning. Notice that it says, "very likely that he will commit to us." Meanwhile, the timetable is prior to Gibbons' visit on Saturday. So Gibbons must have provided positive hints before he went through the process on campus, somewhat contradicting tonight's version from his father:

"Stanford is pursuing, with returned ardor, an offensive linemen whose offer and interest have not been publicized.

I've not checked for his rankings. A great source projects Anon ahead of Burkett (who quates to Khalil Wilkes or a step up) and Austin Hall (think Danser with a faster start) but probably not with Casey Tucker
.
My source revealed his name but insisted that I not reveal i. He need not fear. At the precise second he revealed the name, my IPhone choked.

It is not Braden Smith or anyone else who has ever revealed his interest in us. I assume that he might be a four star in one or more services.

It is very likely that he will commit to us.

I have assumed for months that this kid exists because our staff wants four offensive linemen in this class and has seemed headed for not more than three.

The fact there is only one stealth adds to the evidence that, barring something unforeseen, Casey Tucker is coming."

So, this guy, is he "Your Boy"......I'm suppose to Listen to "Your Boy"

So we lose players because of academic integrity but our education isn't good enough to keep kids that actually want a good education

Solid

Been saying this for months. If you want to have elevated standards, and try to do the "Stanford thing", you will get creamed in recruiting bc Stanford/Vandy/Duke/ND/BC aren't in the same STRATOSPHERE as us academically. We aren't even Michigan/UCLA/UNC territory. This ****** school has an identity crisis.

Plus Stanford would be kicking our asses on the field right now. better program overall. Even.though the last 3 recruiting cycles UM had a better rating.

The fact anyone blames a kid for going to one of the best schools in the country is hilarious.

According to some, that's not the staffs fault either.

Here is why people should care. We have made it a bad habit, as a program, of losing recruits and team members. Sure we are deep at OL, but remember we are losing Bunche and now we are losing a recruit that was sure to be serviceable in coming years. You need to stop this before it becomes a problem and we end up having issues with OL personal just like we have been experiencing with our DL personal. You have to think long term as well as short term.

Pac 10 $$$, money bags, gotta feed his family, smart decision, academics etc. Oh and if you don't get the post, Braxton Berrios is our Wes Welker..hope that clears it up.
Oh, I get it, I'm just not sure that you got my post. College football is a business and it has to be treated as such. It's not just about short term gains, it's also about long term gains. Wes Welker, OK.

Wonder if this kid and a few others started to look around when Golden started playing patty cake with Penn St? I would.
