TVD threw wobbly passes that came out funky all last year too. He beat up on some bad teams and got overrated by the fan base and doesn’t have Rambo now to bail him out.

Yes the offense needs to be tweaked but it’s game 1 against a P5 opponent. Y’all need to relax.

Mario is going to have to take a deep look in the mirror. Lack of urgency and play calling from the offense was killer. Does he want to run a old fashioned Iowa offense or do what worked last year. Dont fix whats broken, went away with what TVD excel last year.

Don’t get me wrong I’d like our offense to look more like last year as long as the OL can keep playing like this years, but I’m curious how last years offense would have looked without Rambo, Harley and X.

The film is out now. He stares down receivers. He got away with it last year because Rambo was really good.

I do think the Canes need a dedicated WR coach, rather than a OC/WR coach.

This right here too. I’m not nearly as down on Gattis as some here are, outside of the redzone (remains to be seen if he gets that figured out), but either way I think we need someone separately coaching WRs. Whatever Gattis is doing is NOT working.

And just because we don’t have a 1st round, elite guy, that’s not an excuse. A lot of teams make it work with less than what we have. That’s a fact

Kid came in last year when the program was 1-2 and season was fast-slipping away. Fast fell to 2-4 and then had good back-to-back wins over NC State and ****.

Harley and Rambo were go-to's last year. Now they're gone and Van Dyke stumbled out the gate after an off-season of being told he's the greatest thing to happen to this program in 20 years.

This was a headline five days ago: "Miami football has been waiting two decades for a quarterback like Tyler Van Dyke".

Lots of season left, but Van Dyke needs to get on the same page as Smith, George, Brinson and others. Stop believing the hype and start executing.

I'll post this again. Everything that worked in the passing game last year is gone.. Take away Harley and Rambo and think of that offense with WRs who can't separate and tell me how that offense would look with these WRs..

Keep it to the offensive side mostly with playcalling of Gattis, WRs, and TVD

Formations are god awful especially with us lacking talent at wr. Predictable routes in tight formation inside the hashes is like eating raw eggs , drinking rancid milk and not expecting violent diarrhea.
