Recruiting buzz

Where did I say he was a bust??

******* Reading Comprehension
Ok my bad you didn’t say bust, but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re overreacting quite a bit. You’re saying he won’t be able to start next year because he doesn’t get enough playing time this year. He is a true Freshman behind what is probably the best d line in the country. What exactly did you expect? He plays behind Gerald Willis, who is playing like the best **** DT in the country right now....

Yep.

Wilfork didn't start when Walters and Joseph were the DTs.

It should be really obvious who the best one was.

Willis is one of the top 3 DT's in the country, if not the best period, it's unfair to compare almost anyone to him, let alone a true freshman that enrolled a couple of months ago.

Guys there's something wrong given that a true freshman that got here in May is not seeing playing time over Willis (watch list for the Outland Trophy and Maxwell award), Bethel (JR), Tito (RS SR) and Ford (So). True freshman are apparently supposed to come right into college football and play immediately just like players at WR and CB.

with Richt at the helm we'll continue to have classes around the 8-12 range, which is exactly what you need in order to play for titles. Sprinkle in a year or two when we make a run at a top 1-5 class (looking like next year) and our upward trajectory should only continue.

We just gotta keep our Ace recruiters on staff, have the defensive guys continue to learn the ropes and get better at recruiting the defensive side of the ball and honestly we could have top 3-7 classes year in and year out.
You'd be surprised how low our classes were that ended up winning NC's.

Nesta is fine, the player I want to see make a Jon Garvin like leap forward is Ford. If that kid can take the next step, we'll be all right in the trenches next year.
1. SR Bethel (solid)
2. JR Ford (needs to become a force)
3. SO Silvera (hopefully is a force in year 2)
4. *FR Miller (Needs to play like a 4* FR)
5. FR Ingraham (Wont redshirt)
6. FR Holley, Munoz or Blissett (2/3 redshirt)

We still might need another 6'3" 310 pound grad transfer, if one is out there.

and that was now 16 years ago. That was a completely different era man. Kids were never even seen/went completely under the radar back then. Not today! Every single National Champion since the BCS was started, which was also the start of this recruiting craziness, has had a 5* star ranked recruit on their roster. You will not win a National Title in todays CFB landscape without recruiting consistent top 10 classes.

Ford and Bethal both do. If Nesta doesnt start he would be First of the bench.
You can't compare Nesta as a new freshman to a couple of guys who have at least one or more years experience on him. Similar to N'kosi. Eventually he'll get as much playing time if he does not just overtake them. All three will play because they play different techniques.

Ain’t no might, we def need one with some playing experience IMO. We need Simpson to really get everything he can out of Miller. We need him ready!!

Nesta needed a shirt but the depth chart wouldn’t allow it. He wasn’t physically ready for playing against the big boys , most true Fr aren’t.
