Actually did us a favor, School is cheap af when it comes to football and they barely have commitment to high level football, they would rather sit an extra year than fire a coach. He had contract that basically had school by balls, he chose to walk away. He could of sat there and took money and the AD wouldnt be able to do ****.

He walked away when he could of just sat and cashed checks til they pushed him out, shannon/golden style..

Richt set us back a couple years. We could be on the doorstep of perennial top 10 and he screwed us.
LSU could be on the verge of being a perennial top 10 team....But, based on this empirical evidence from earlier today, it wouldn't matter because there probably aren't more than 4 people who go to LSU that know how to spell Perennial....or College...or Graduate....

He set us back a couple of years?!...rofl!!!

If anything, he has got us going in the right direction and handed the baton to the next coach to take us as far as he can.

-He got us back to running an aggressive 4-3 defense
-Got us back to prioritizing south Florida
-Repaired broken relationships with some HS coaches in S. FLA
-Delivered our 1st meaningful 10 win season in ever
-Started another streak against FSU
-Started allowing alumni back to practice & around the program
-Started the U Network
-Got donors for the IPF
-Brought us our now head coach
-Saved us 20 Mil
-Made our Scholarship offer somewhat respectable again
-Gave us Paradise camp, one of the best camps

Etc...

He wasnt perfect, but to act like he didn't turn us around in such a short time and raise the talent level quickly, is asinine

Gotta give him credit for also getting administration to open their wallets and upgrade the facilities. Not too mention his fundraising and personal contributions towards the IPF. Richt did alot in a short time period and I will forever be grateful.

They really need to put more resources into the U Network. It seems neglected, and could be a super valuable recruiting tool.

The administration hiring so many duds in a row is what has set us back. Richt didn't set us back much at all. His poor coaching certainly cost us ONE season, but him retiring, thus saving the school MILLIONS made up for that. We have talent, an IPF, and are on the verge of being really good.
