Our fanbase(and some of our former letterwinners) haven't learned anything from the last two decades. Instead of demanding that Mario hire the best coach he can find, people are already clamoring for the "Miami Guy" hire. It's frustrating because you know that as soon as Mario hires a qualified RB coach(Because he's a competent adult and understands that he has a responsibility to the program), some of the old letterwinners are going to complain that Clinton Portis, whose coaching experience is ONE YEAR AT DELAWARE STATE didn't get a top end P4 job. Make it make sense.

I’m not saying hire portis but his rbs produced in that one year. Tashard choice and Cadillac Williams didn’t have a ton of experience and guess where there first big jobs was at? Their Alma maters. Choice at gt and cadillac at auburn. They both are in the nfl now. I’m all for the best guy available but let’s not like if he was the guy he wouldn’t be able to do it

Facts in addition to that last time I checked Kevin beard has been our best receiver coach in both stints at Miami we have had since Curtis Johnson left

One thing we know about Mario when it comes to hiring is we all might as well pull up a chair and get comfortable because it’s going to be a hot minute. Should give us plenty of time to speculate 😂.

Delaware state under Deshaun Jackson. They did win 7 more games than the prior year, last year, but I’m not handing over the best running back room in the country without real experience at the P4 level

agreed. i dont care where they went to school. we arent a bottom tier program. we can hire the best names out there for a coveted job. no more learn on the job training.
