Ray Ray… [injured?]

The 47 jersey makes me upset with Mario. We're the only team concerned with this retardation.

Last week Joseph wore it to return a punt when Kinchens was not even on the punt return team.
That just thinking ahead. Cam backups up someone on the punt team, and if they fall asleep or something, they might have to run him in late.

It’s snail and it’s all Cristobal. The blame toward Dawson is a joke. This is all Wario
Wrong. It's both and it's why he's here. He and Mario are on the exact same page.

Been saying since he was hired that he's one of the few in that tree of coaches that doesn't use pace. In 2022 Houston was 52nd in seconds per play at 25.1 and Miami was 60th at 25.4

[BGCOLOR=initial]In 2021 Houston was 111th at 28 seconds per play and Oregon was 75th at 26 seconds per play.[/BGCOLOR]

Without Dawson, Houston is 44th at 24.6 seconds per play this year.

I don’t mind not going full blown pace just for the sake of it but I do think we can use it more. I think it could get TVD going and spark the offense a little more.

I want to be in the 40s-50s. That is ideal

I've said many times.. my biggest concern in this offense is the inability to run tempo even when we need it. They don't even look like they know how. Play calls come in too slow and we're always trying to sub. There's no plan or preparation to get calls in quickly or go 4-5 plays without subbing.

I hate the shallow comments about “pace and space” or when people watch it when it’s clicking and fall in love with how it looks

But I agree there’s something very dis-jointed about us at the moment. It’s not one thing, it’s many things

Our strength is our OL and I understand the idea of wanting to control the ball with this personnel on offense, however there’s a time and place to push the gas and we just aren’t seeing it

I don’t need to see dramatic changes, we aren’t that far off, but we need to see a better effort these last few games for sure

There's no reason this team should be as consistently slow on offense as it is. We don't need to operate at lightning speed but we're sacrificing an easy 5 or 6 offensive plays per game by purposely going at the pace we do. I think Lashlee hit the tempo sweet spot with TVD in 2021. He slowed it down compared to what he was running with King but he kept the pace brisk. I think right around 72-73 plays per game.

Fair and that team couldn’t run the ball at all. Much better OL this go around

Im also good with slowing the game way down and grinding out some of these rhythm offenses like UNC and FSU but we can’t do what we’ve been doing and completely shell up either

I think this offense is actually better at passing the ball than running, which is the opposite of what the coaches seem to think at the moment

But I dunno

Just curious if anyone saw he on the sideline. Limping. Walking normal. Running. Anyone who maybe saw him during or after the game.
Dunno, with this team, injuries can be mental too…

I think fans sometimes don't realize how much tempo can help an offense. Players find it a lot easier to get into a rhythm, especially quarterbacks. It keeps the opponent from substituting so they can get caught in bad personnel packages for an entire series. And it wears defenses down. People think ball control wears down opponents but ask any 250+lb person what will get them tired faster, having to run back to the line of scrimmage immediately after a play over and over or having 20+ seconds of rest between every play. Right now, we need to find a way to get the offense back on track and throwing in some quicker tempo for a series or two every half can really help.

One of my biggest complaints about Gattis (among many) was he had no feel for the game

**** Paul Johnson but he was amazing at pace and feel for playcalling it’s why they would suddenly look unstoppable so he proved you don’t need some 800 page playbook

We don’t have elite WR threats but I still like them as a group better than our current RB group (especially with Parrish out)

The WRs might not have a #1 but they’ve got a nice set of complimentary skills

Lol at thinking you’ll get any legit player health info from this outfit.
I remember there being some CiS porsters that got called out for being "an insider" but not actually being connected to the program in any meaningful way. Happens less frequently here than in the Recruiting room. Who knows, maybe one of these days we'll get an insider that leaks.

I’m not the smartest person but why we don’t play with pace early to get TVD some easy quick throws makes zero sense to me. He is clearly a rhythm QB that needs confidence early or he’s going to be below average the rest of the game

Personally, I think they would like to move a little faster.. but also know they have to protect the defense and give them some rest because they're very thin in terms of depth. Especially the DL and "playable" corners.

How in the world can neither brown brothers or Richards provide any snaps. This blows my mind. Two played significant snaps for P5 programs last year and one was a top recruit

Doesn't make sense to me. Richard looked rough in limited snaps in game but looked great early in camp. Brown is a walking pass interference every time he's on the field. I'd probably get Damari more snaps over the other 2.
