Deshaun Watson number 1? Hmm. Interesting since he hasn't even finished a full year yet.

Joe, Joe, Joe, half of our power 5 games were against top 25 QB's. And, we won almost half of those with a QB 2 years out of High School. Some of those other losses are on me and a big reason why we went 5-7 but when you go against the big time QB's it only makes you better. We're going back and going to work our tails off to get better.

If they're grouping in OSU's QBs as 1 then they should Clearly be #1 . Two Big Ten POY and a MNC MVP or A freshman who played less than half his games. Makes sense.

Kaaya should be top 10. If he had a real OC he'd be top 5 easily.

Depends how you are ranking them. If you are talking about best college Qb (like who gets most heisman votes) the rankings are much different than a ranking for the 2016 draft would be...
My personal biased ranking:
1. Jared Goff, Cal
2. JT Barrett, tOSU
3. Cody Kessler, USC
4. Treyvon Boykin, TCU
5. Connor Cook, MSU
6. Deshaun Watson, Clemson
7. Christian Hackenberg, PSU
8. Cardale Jones, tOSU
9. Jeremy Johnson, AU
10. Brad Kaaya, The U
11. Vernon Adams, UO
12. Dak Prescott, MSU
13. Gunner Kiel, Cinn
14. Justin Thomas, GT
15. Kevin Hogan/Marquise Williams

Whats the fascination with watson i did not think he was crazy good

Just to give you an idea... Let's assume he would have thrown as many passes as Kayaa.... (378 attempts) and extrapolate some stats...

Watson was on pace for a 4000 yard, 33 passing TD/6 Ints season. This doesn't include rushing numbers, he had 5 rushing Tds and 200 rushing yards too, while missing 5 games and only playing couple of series in 4 other games.

He threw for 67.9% completion rate which is ridiculous for a freshman. Obviously playing full-time could pull down his numbers but it was a solid performance. 188.6 QB rating, 90.8 adj QBR (compared to Kayaas 145.9 QB rating and 66.5 QPR) only Marriota had a better QPR (not that QPR isn't a flawed stat)

He might put up monster numbers this year depending on their OL situation and his health. Clemson never has a good OL and they just lost their LT Isaiah Battle to the supplemental draft.

He is a big time player.

Can't wait to see the great Gunner Brady I mean Gunner Kiel in person October 1st so I can see his greatness from what you guys say.

23. Jeremy Johnson, Auburn - Entirely underrated and too low on this list. Arguably by end of the season, he'll be top 5 or maybe #1 on this list based on his skillset and system (Guz Malzahn offense) he plays in.

As for Kaaya, as many said in other threads, he hasn't played well under pressure or in big moments. I'll give him the freshman year pass but after watching him in the spring game I didn't see much improvement. Until he can consistently stretch the field with the deep ball, he will continue to struggle against the blitz.
