Schiano is a defensive coach. It makes plenty of sense that they guy sending constant first rounders be the coach you want to play for.

We also lost to 5 by Florida...beat Virginia, won at pitt, etc...The two years/teams aren't even comparable right now. Rutgers won 2 games, and one of them was against a team that is the clear 130 out of 130 this year (UMass).

Aren't the majority on this very website - posting multiple topics complaining how there are not enough scholarship level students on this team?

I saw a recent topic how there are like 70 out of 85 good players. Depth is never a bad thing especially if the kid can sack and/or put pressure on the thrower of the football. Football has evolved into a throw the ball for more points style game.
