Quincy Roche crystal ball to Miami

Facts. Plus, this guy doesn't help our team get better for the future. In fact, he robs recruited Talent, good recruited Talent, of the opportunity to develop.

This is an indictment that Manure DAss can't develop so he is relying on other coaches to develop for him.

maybe a guy who actually produced will bring more work ethic down here the way KJ did in that awful WR room.

It’s obvious from comments, press conferences, actions, results, Twitter, etc that our leadership and hard work on this team is severely lacking. Roche is a high end player, upper classmen who can only help these younger guys. We rotate more than enough guys to get the younger players reps and experience for next year.

Watch What Happens. The guy will come to Miami and be mediocre. Yet, he will play ALOT. Taking valuable snaps away from our recruited players. Next year we are in the same condition, if not worse. Gregory Rousseau leaves for the NFL and Matt Patchan will not get a 15th year of eligibility.

But there's the Portal.......Again, right?
Fortunately for Miami, your opinion doesn’t count.

Maybe he'd like to bring their best offensive lineman with him?

You do realize that Rousseau's not the only DE that's going to be playing for the whole year. And he's gone after this season as well.

So you can’t develop talent and bring in position upgrades at the same time?
Right? I keep seeing porsters porsting this same porst as if you can't do both. Like anyone thinks the portal is a sustainable way to build a team. Like it's fcking ok to sit on your *** and do nothing while you develop kids out of HS.

Please tell me why on Earth, with our numbers, you don't accept any talented player who wants in. Let alone a guy projected to go higher in the draft than the two guys that just left his position?

Seriously. We have Rousseau, Patchan and Harvey (who had limited action as a TF last season) coming back. The rest of our depth is true freshman coming in. You'd have to be a complete idiot to not allow Roche to come to Miami.

Nope.....

The problem with Hill was that he came in hurt, missed valuable practice time and by the time he actually was 100% healthy, Rousseau had blown up already.

There is no one proven at DE besides GR15. Roche is healthy by all reports so he should be able to come in right away and fill that starting role unless JPhillips or Harvey have a "Greentree All-American" type Spring. Which could happen.

Anyone know since it's the dead period now that it doesn't apply to transfers?

Be more specific..who exactly is being affected by this? Harvey, Phillips and CWilliams will have every opportunity in the Spring to prove they deserve to get starters minutes come Fall when Roche arrives. We are not going to hand anyone anything. If none prove anything in the Spring, then we have the insurance in Roche coming in the Fall to pick up the slack. Its win-win.

Based on the comments, it is pretty obvious that many of you are super young or really do not understand the game of football, especially when it comes to building a strong program. You do not do it with transfers. And I am not talking about jucos. I am talking about 1 year portal players.

We are not a 1 fix, 2 fix or 3 fix. Oklahoma and Ohio State were fix teams. We need to build a solid foundation with recruited players and development. We are not competing for a **** thing with this Temple kid. Plus, the kid could come to Miami and be mediocre just like Tommy Kennedy, who many you thought was going to be a beat at left tackle.

If our dipstick head coach and his flunkies trusted their teaching and development skills, they would not waste time with the portal.

Based on your comments, its pretty obvious you don't know **** about this kid. To compare him to Tommy Kennedy proves that. This kid was top 10 in the FBS in sacks and TFLs. Not FCS....FBS!

We should be thanking him for even considering us as bad as we are. We are a 6-7 team, a joke in the ACC, a disgrace nationally, program is on life support..and you want to turn down talent that is willing to sign up for all this? LMAO!!! Man go back to bed.

Which recruit do you replace him with at this point? A 2 star with offers from Incranate Ward and Monmouth?

The game has changed. The portal, like NFL FA, is a supplemental way to add talent and fill holes. Can you build a roster using the portal? No. But with guaranteed misses in recruiting and players (at all programs) transferring left and right, it’s a useful tool to add experience to your roster.
