QBR rating - E$PN Miami vs UNC

Doesn’t have the “it” factor...brought his team back from down 17-3. No turnovers with a razor thing margin for error. Took the lead. His defense gave up a 4th and 17 and the lead. Drove his team down in less than a minute to setup a game tying FG.

But he doesn’t have “it”? I get it. It’s super subjective and in your mind somehow Jarren isn’t making a difference. I will agree to disagree with you but this L is on a lot ppl Jarren ain’t one of em.
I'm not putting the L on him but I'm also watching him not walk in on the 2 point conversion, I'm watching him check down again and again and I'm watching Cam Harris look like the dude that was driving us down, I saw Brevin Jordan making first round pick caliber plays. Look, I honestly hope I'm wrong and he becomes a Heisman winner , I just looked across the field and saw a kid who stepped up and got a W and wished he was our QB. To be fair Manny's clock management was criminal .

Also, I don't think we have a better QB on the roster even though I'm not ready to call JW a stud like many so this is not about wanting Perry or Martell in there .

Williams just seems like he doesn't have the IT factor . All the bullshlt excuses about him being a RS Freshman are negated by Howell having ice in his veins and being a true Frosh. I wish it was Williams who led his team to the win but it wasn't, he just checked down and played it safe. Stats look pretty but it's another L .
Except of course, his receivers come up with the contested balls, while ours don't...and in fact even drop the easy catches (such as Hightower after Williams eluded the rush, rolled all the way to the far sideline, and threw a strike right to Hightower's chest...which he then dropped).

QBs with the IT factor win games regardless.. why were we in a 17-3 whole in the first place?

I think Howell has the IT factor but his big throws were infinitely easier. That long td that burnt Bandy was wide open, that 4th and 17 was wide open.
Exactly. Our defense, and Howell's receivers made it easy on Howell. Some of the big throws he made could have been made by a D2-level qb, they were so wide open.

Why are you quoting me for this crap ? There's no question in your post , just a rant that sounds like an over protective girlfriend/mother telling off the guy that dared say he wasn't sure her precious was a stud.

Don't quote me cause you're insecure .I'm not your personal therapist .

They take into account situational football (how did he do on third downs and 4th quarter for example) they also take into account the defense they played against. Jarren went up against a worse defense than Howell

Howell was making one read , both games.

Williams dropping back ( given time ) is a thing of beauty . From mechanics/fundamentals to going through the reads and the actual throwing of the ball.

I’ll always take the guys making the progressions and the throws. Watch Howell when tape gets out,he’s going to take some lumps. He’s a good player but there’s a lot of smoke in mirrors right now.

He made the right read and throw and Mallory dropped it.

He played **** near perfect , and did everything in his power to win. Kid was accurate , didn’t turn the ball over and made all right decisions.

Sorry child, but you post a whiny post, I quote your whiny post. Don't need a "question" in my post, just pointing out your childish, whiny "logic". Funny you'd call me "insecure" when you're the one practically crying because I quoted your post! :ROFLMAO:

QBR is a bs stat. James Blackman was 30/40 for 282 with 3 TD and 2 int with a QBR of 78.2. They had a chance to drive the field and win in regulation and failed

It’s espns nonsense. It’s not even a legit statistic other than the cult of espn.

Exactly , but the booger’s eaters are going nuts in here over it. And using it to trash the best thing we’ve had at qb in years.

Living in gainesville my gator friends think he’s awesome and would trade franks for him in a second.

As I say “ trashiest fan base I’ve ever came across”. Um stands alone.

I guess you showed me....look , son : when you see me starting a thread about JW, when you see me in every thread trying to dissuade ball gazers like you or if I quote you then reply to me . If you have a question for me , please quote me. If you simply need to vent call your husband .

As I said above. I hope he wins a Heisman and I look back and feel like a total ****** for doubting him and I don't think we have a better QB on the roster however I see a pitcher with a good ERA who can't seem to get the W.
