QB Battle: Tate getting the nod is inevitable

I totally disagree and I'm looking forward to Jarren to start but if Nkosi starts against UF I think he is on a very short lease. Tate is on the outside looking in and we have gifted WR's who need a QB to complete passes regularly. Tate does NOT possess the throwing skills needed in this offense. Jarren has by far the biggest upside of the three!

A short lease? How short?

3 months maximum?

Would he get his security deposit back?

So I get to say I am right because I think any one of the 3 may win it
Just say somthing good about all 3 and whoever wins reiterate the good things youpointed out about him, and yes you come out as a know it all QB guru

And the point that makes your comment worthless is that we don't have a QB who can do the job at this point, so maybe flare doesn't factor into things. We've got a legit QB battle with no signs as yet that any of the guys will be good enough, and you want to worry about who's got the most flare.

Also, I think you meant "flair".

I actually meant to attract attention to the program. We do know that Perry is the least likely to do that and Tate weirdly is a bigger name than any of the three. Jarren could very well be that in the end. To me if you want to sell Miami you sell it in a Miami style because thats what makes it unique and marketable.

Perry's strengths would fit a Briles offense better than Enos. Strong arm that could run the AC vertical game. Jarren and Tate's strengths are good matches for a west coast offense.

Edit: I think Perry may finish 3rd. I hope he doesn't lose confidence and if he does decide to leave I want to see him go somewhere and ball out. I think the kid is struggling with some demons in his head. I hope he realizes he has God given talent and takes full advantage of his blessings.
What the **** are you talkin about? How do you know Perry so intimately? Good grief!

Weird... why do you think that there are any people that want to just hand him the job. Everything I have read seems to want him to win it not for him to be handed it. If you cant understand why they would want a new and high profile prospect to win the job then your purposely being dense.
The longer Tate goes without claiming the starting job, the more I'd bet he presses with his throws. I'm sure that he's disappointed (and probably a bit shocked) that he hasn't opened any daylight between him and the holdover guys.

I think you mean, “transoceanic.”

For him to be transcontinental, he would needed to have come to Miami from Los Angeles, not Australia.

(Just saying ).

He was at City College if San Francisco last season, so that works.

Im happy MannyD is instilling the notion of it’ll be one guy and roll with it. Musical chairs at QB never results in winning big without a few exceptions. We don’t have the rosterto be that exception. Only way this program returns is with a transcendental player on offense. Namely a QB. Martell has the only upside to be such due to his scrambling ability outside the pocket. Though Perry fits the offense more on paper, Martell quick game/legs on-field and consistency off field will win him the nod. #GoCanes

Whoever it is, I want the Turds guessing up until game day.

UM

OK... looks like people don't get it. If all things are even. Tate would bring the program the most flare. If your selling this program he is the one you want to step up and win the job. There is no transcendent QB on this team but if you want to start getting serious looks by that next one... you want, you need to sell the program.
Such nonsense. What brings "flair" is winning. Period. Tate being "flashier", supposedly, is irrelevant, and no more valid a tie-breaker than which one has a nicer smile or which one has better hair.

You lose all credibility talking up Rosier and it don't make excuses, transfers are transfers. Especially when there's a coaching change

All transfers are not the same, you shouldnt allow yourself to lose credibilty trying to make the case that russell wilson's transfer was equal to transferdentalntate's, not even close to being the same situation. Make real points, dont go the bullshat route now!

IF scrambling ability was the ONLY criteria for a QB......Maybe I'd agree

But it wasn't at OSU....and its definitely NOT the only criteria here at Miami.

I don't see the inevitability of any of the three.

Whoever wins the starter role will have to do many things very well.

Doing one thing better doesnt cut it here at Miami.....if that wasn't the case Ken Dorsey wouldn't have ever played a down here...Kenny Kelly would have been inevitable because he was light years better at scrambling....BUT that didn't happen then and I doubt it will happen now

To date or at least until we're told differently this race is still wide open

Kelly was always looking for the big play.

He was a big time recruit and 3 sport phenom.

Thought he could force the ball downfield and make good things happen.

Never wanted to take the easy yards and was turnover prone.

He melted down in a big loss to vag tech and got benched.

Dorsey energized the team with his decision making and accuracy and Mr. Kelly was never heard from again.

Anyone who slurped Richt last year the way you did lost all credibility a long time ago.
