This is an interesting article about the mess at UT. They make Miami look like a competent program (oh btw for those who think that schools that "care about football" and pour money and resources into programs=success; Texas and now Tennessee prove that sheer luck and finding a great HC is a lot more important than how many millions the school puts into football or whether the AD cares)

Kinda funny though that they said some blogger took issue with hiring of Schiano and that helped torpedo the deal. They didn't actually mention why some Tennessee fans were against Schiano... covering up for a child diddler? Yeah I think that's a legit reason to not want Schiano around your program.

The year is young but what you just wrote has taken the early lead for silliest post of the year.

3-7 Tennessee got smoked by 5-6 Kentucky and lost to 3-7 Arkansas. Yeah, they are really a juggernaut that would decimate Miami.

Our two blowout losses were to the #3 and #9 offenses. The third was a 3 point loss to the #52 offense (while missing our best defensive player). And has been pointed out many times, the Diaz defense is bad against top offenses, average against mediocre offenses, and does well against bad offenses. Tennessee has the #108 ranked offense. Miami would have no trouble with Tennessee.

Now Texas, with the #7 offense would smoke Miami. That I agree with.

There is no need to venture into the absurd and say Tennessee would easily beat Miami, when you could have made a credible point with Texas. It undermines your credibility and makes you look like someone who doesn't have anything useful to say about football besides "Diaz sucks, brah".

That being said, Texas also sucks despite spending more money than almost anyone, and their big hire was Steve Sarkisian, which is far more embarrassing than Diaz naming himself DC.

That wasn’t what I responded to or what you said. You said Texas and Tennessee “would smoke us on the field” and when I lol’d and said “Tennessee wouldn’t smoke us”, you said you have “zero faith that Miami could beat any P5 team” when we beat 7 or 8 of them last season. Now you’re changing it and saying “well those teams sucked”.

Tennessee sucked! They were 3-7!
