Preseason AP Poll Out - Canes Ranked #7

Also, we always find a way to lose an ACC game that we should win. Pollsters know that. We need to eliminate that reputation this year. The only 2 games (on paper) that one could reasonably argue we might (doesn't mean "will) lose are @Clemson (difficult place to play especially at night) and @ND. That's it.

I expect to split those games this year. However, whether we win both, split, or lose both (unlikely), we need to win the other games on our schedule. Win the games that you should win and that will get us in the ACC Championship game and hopefully the playoffs.

1-0, I get it, but there are "circle" games on the calendar.
I hope Clemson beats the **** out of LSU.
Our prep for will start around 11pm, 2 weeks and a day before that game.
They go out to Cal the week (Friday) before.

A couple things.. no $ec team got first place votes which is a positive sign. Being #7 is fine.. it's withing striking distance and that's all we need to start the season. The rest is just wining the games on teh schedule and we're perfectly setup to do just that. no rat poison in that ranking.

Worst case scenario after conference championship week would have us at worst 3rd, as there would only possibly be one undefeated BIG and one undefeated SEC, and then the Canes.

Maybe there are still those out there who aren't completely sold on him as a more complete game day coach consistently moving forward. I think if he makes another run this year he will start getting the benefit of the doubt. Although-none of this means crap unless you are betting on the games.

To be fair - how many years did we start out ranked to get spanked. Weren’t we like 14th when we got spanked against Bama
