Practice #7

For ***s sake, it’s football, they hit each other. When we go to WiffleBall season we can hold down going live. But now sooner we separate the wheat from the chaff the better. Or so I heard Farmer Jones say on Mr Rodgers show.

I heard Mr. Greenjeans say the same thing to Captain Kangaroo.

Must be a country truism thing . . .

We keep telling them don’t we? Based on all the information that’s out there, right now, this is still a three-man race and probably still will be heading into summer practises. Nobody is out of it, including N’Kosi.

But people gotta do the dumb shlt and play the favorites game. Then when they don’t get their favorite in, it’s all a conspiracy and bad coaching.

Dam Nelson, that's a **** of a jump from only having an offer from App State. Get it young man! I root for players like that, and the draft is littered with players that were undersize in HS and was given a chit rating. Ford at 303! That's a lean 300 pounds on him. He's going to be a problem.

Harely better not have left the building without getting on the juggs machine or asking one of the QBs to stay later with him

Obviously Nelson at starting LT is the biggest thing I took from this.... is the rest of the o-line/backups really just that awful? Is Nelson a true diamond in the rough? Or perhaps just doing everything right and giving him a shot against our dline and seeing how he does.

Also, unless it was 1-on-1, why is Frieson covering thomas??? If our striker is potentially lining up on the opposing teams number 1/fastest WR I dont see that making much sense....

Maybe Thomas was in the slot

Keep sleeping on Zion. He’s gonna **** around and be in the 2 deep his true freshman season. As someone else said, him coming in early has been huge(as it has been for Payton and Harvey) All the haters are gonna look real silly when he turns into a big time player for us.

Glad the QBs are continuing to improve. Not gonna overreact ab Jeff, but Harley and Wiggins need to be on the Jugs machine everyday until this is no longer a problem.

Jon Ford taking that next step is a massive development.

Overall, I like what I’m hearing. Here’s to an injury free 1st scrimmage.

Zion Nelson starting to remind me of when Jason Fox showed up on campus. Not comparing their skillsets necessarily. But both were underweight OT recruits with good feet that showed up at a more respectable weight than expected and had surprisingly positive reviews from the jump. I remember it being a big surprise that Jason Fox emerged out of fall camp as one of the starting Tackles (Orlando Franklin was the big time OT recruit from that class but Fox was ready to go first)

I would give my left nut for a Jason Fox like T.
