Practice #7

Don't really know why people immediately wrote Zion off. From his tape he had good technique, good feet, athleticism, and showed good strength for someone who was 245lb. He is an EE and has gained about 20lbs of good weight while keeping his mobility. I'm not saying he will be starting this year, but he can definitely be a key player his sophmore year

Zion Nelson starting to remind me of when Jason Fox showed up on campus. Not comparing their skillsets necessarily. But both were underweight OT recruits with good feet that showed up at a more respectable weight than expected and had surprisingly positive reviews from the jump. I remember it being a big surprise that Jason Fox emerged out of fall camp as one of the starting Tackles (Orlando Franklin was the big time OT recruit from that class but Fox was ready to go first)

I would ******* kill to have Jason Fox on this OL right now.

Catching the ball consistently has been a problem here for years too. Hankerson had problems, dorsett early in his career, coley had some drops early, walford had issues with it, and its more i just cant think of right now.

Hank worked with Mark Duper over the Summer with the tennis balls - and I don't think after that he could drop a ball if he was begged to.

Send everyone to Duper. Or hire him to conduct an "extended clinic" in tennis ball mechanics.
