You need to consider the history of insider and what he said. Basically Mansell is saying that he has heard the rumors. He was pretty clear in not trying to pass it off as happening.

Oklahoma has the #1 dual threat QB in the nation committed. They would be the one of the worst schools for him to go to.

Means nothing. Who is the backup right now? spencer Rattler is a true freshman. Fields sits a year but still practices and learns the system. He has spent a year learning a more complicated offense. Who's to say he doesn't beat out Rattler? Or Rattler shirts. Fields only needs a year or maybe two to shine. Dont' forget - Fields is pretty confident in his ability. He went to UGA knowing Fromm was there. He would believe he could beat out a true freshman.

This is what happens when you run an offense like OU and you have two QBs who win Heisman's back to back..
