Let me get this straight. The QB coach put up more passing yards and had a more successful run with QBs than the DC who was hired, and was broadly criticized as too conservative by posters here, is now being deemed too conservative and not innovative for the QB coach position. This is symptomatic of the board's schizophrenia. As for needing a YOUNG innovative coach, would you take Eric Bieniemy? He is 53.

Mario did not hire Ponce as our OC this year because there were more qualified candidates. I suppose we must expect Mario to have a brain fart in 2 years and suddenly develop the habit of hiring someone for a position even if more qualified candidates are available.
