Podcast Q and A

Can I get some updated percentages and plausible “what if” scenarios where we can still win the Coastal?

You know the answer to this. Even if warranted by on field results this move would destroy Mario's ability to attract good OC's in the future. He has to let Gattis finish the season and may need to let him have 2 years so the "next guy" sees Mario as giving his coordinators time.
We’re not even middle of the pack. We’re worst of the worst. Our first round QB has been castrated. It’s irresponsible to keep him around at this point.

Josh Pate from late kick already made it seem like the coaching community doesn’t have any respect for him. If true, I’m sure fellow coaches will understand the situation.

I agree with your entire assessment but 1 year is a minimum unless he pulls a Udoka and has *** with half the female staffers.

I’ve been waiting on this question because I guarantee no one is smiling more broadly right now in the world than Manny Diaz and he is asking the same question, and his answer is yes. Not saying he is right in the long run, but he is right thru 4 games.

Furthermore, he worked for Stockstill at MTSU, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was one of the buddies he claimed texted him after the game to congratulate him.

If Garcia can't produce a win why not try Jaccuri Brown? After all he is on the team and has a cannon for an arm and he is our most athletic QB. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE AND EVERYTHING TO GAIN.

Part 1 - Will Gattis get canned and when?

Part 2 - Is Mario too stubborn to change his offensive philosophy? If so, will it be the death of him like stubbornness was for our last 3 HCs?

Part 3 - Are highly rated (4 & 5 stars) South Florida players just overrated/ Too full of themselves/ too hyped up by the 7 on 7 coaches, community, etc. before they even do anything that matters (ie. college and NFL) ?

For this question, I know your going to throw stats out showing all the guys in the NFL from Dade/Broward, etc. but I’d be curious to see how many of those guys were high 4 or 5 stars vs. 3 stars. I bet most are lower rated players who have worked their way to be great players (ie. Rousseau, Jaquan, TY Hilton, James White, Lavonte David, etc.)

One more item to add for Convo on the 3rd question

Miami in its glory days was built on guys who were national 5 Star recruits/talents but also had 5 star drive/work ethic. Seems like that culture is missing now in those 5 Star SoFla players/recruits

Im probably wrong but dgaf. it’s not the same in every case but those 5* hard workers go to better programs. we get the softish 4s. We miss out on the 3s that go elsewhere and ball out.
